For those of you who disapprove of BDSM: If you don’t like it, then stay away from that lifestyle. That’s right, you have a *CHOICE* to have absolutely nothing to do with BDSM, just like there are some people choose to be submissive.

If BDSM goes against your values, fine. Just don’t push your ideas of what’s right and wrong on others. I have yet to see the BDSM do this to anyone outside their realm. People all over the world need to live and let live, period!

In all Honesty, the Rankings mean little to me. The Moralistic arguements over our chosen lifestyle are old ground, and have already been covered about as thoroughly as possible.
As i see it, All that is being done here is arguing whether the Scammers are Morally superior to us. Personally, I don’t see it.

It seems to me, If new sims, Real People as some so easily forget, find they prefer a home where they will be treated with Courtesy, Honesty, Respect, and Genuine caring over houses where they are Robbed, and berated, it is not such a hard thing to understand.

Soon, someone else will take top spot, Changes are Inevitable. I only hope, for the sake of the new players, it is someone else with Our level of Personal Integrity.

yes this is done as a part of BDSM…. but there is so much more involved in BDSM… a few words come to mind…. Trust, Honor and Loyalty are just a few… people in the community dont ask that everyone join in, we dont beg acceptance what is expected is courtesy and respect in a BDSM home… something any house in AV should expect.

As a side note…. toy is now a mentor in SL and helps newbies arriving… there has been a huge influx of people from “There” the last few since the demise of “There” is emminent. It seems a lot of the talk among the new people coming to SL is that TSO will be next. “There” took a huge hit in GOM yesterday also.

I automatically relate sex and violence to the BDSM group due to the very nature of the name itself, in particular Sadism and Masochism. One involves gaining pleasure (sexually) by inflicting pain on another person and the other involves gaining pleasure (sexually) by being the recipient of pain.

The cause of pain can be violent; if it were not so then there would be no need for a safe word to stop the course of action should it get out of hand.

Many people have ended up in hospital because their BDSM games caused accute physical harm, and sometimes death.

I looked into this lifestyle by visiting many sights, and one of the most disturbing things I saw was a picture of a woman dressed in sex garb with her ass and thighs whipped into bloody welts.

If this doesn’t constitute sex and violence, I guess I don’t know what does.

You don’t HAVE to visit that lot you know. And I think new players will relize that it is a BDSM lot by simply reading the property description.

There really needs to be just a normal welcome lot in the top spot. A real welcome lot that is kind to people. A lot that will take the time to help a new player. I know if I bought my 15 year old this game and we logged in and i saw that in the welcome catagory as the top welcome lot I would take the game away right away. It may not mean anything bad, but just the context its not something teens need to see, or be exposed to. ( That doesnt mean you are doing wrong) It jsut means you need to think abotu who may be starting this game. Well maybe a real good welcome lot will get that spot soon we can only hope.
