Hi all,
Jan you look great. If Jan is not as thin as Santana Lumiere and Marilyn Murphy state, doesn’t that show Jan is insecure of her body. I mean forget western culture, if you are proud of your body in RL, then create and brag about a body similar to the RL in SL.

I think Jan’s gorgeous! I’m in full agreement with both sides of the argument regarding why western culture finds certain traits attractive. It’s just the way things are. And those are som serious legs!

I love you too, Jan! *hugs* A note is response to ajdown – Jan is not a stick. Go meet her and check her out. She’s an amazon with soft curves and, as she so often likes to say to me, has a lot of shake in her milkshake. Please note, Marilyn Monroe looked thin in a lot of her poster girl pin ups but she was a size 12– which is, unfortunately, considered chubby now. So, just cuz she looks great in the photos does not mean she’s the next Twiggy.

western culture decided thin was attractive. we are raised to see thin as attractive. i don’t think there is a mystery here.

Actually, for your information, I have a real woman, I was merely attempting to challenge the stereotype that “beautiful = thin”, something that happens both in real and virtual worlds. A perfectly legitimate question.

I wonder why all the models are always rakes? Why can’t we have some full figured models instead with a bit of meat on their bones? Let’s have some realistic shapes featured for a change!
