Yeah, I didn't mean to punch holes in your article, just playing a little bit of spin control before the masses decide to go wiki-wiki-wah wild on us and blow up the universe then go claiming we made them do it.

Thanks for taking the time to pay attention and not writing us off as terrible omg griefers we hate you all, the way some people might have. And yeah. Absurdity is probably what W-Hat is about, if there's anything we're specifically about. That you can appreciate the skew and make enough sense of it to laugh with us is absolutely wonderful.

If there are more Neal Stewarts out there, we need them to come visit.

Hi Feem. Thanks for your comments. The article could have been written as two separate pieces - one about the party and one about the crime-scene - but it didn't make much sense when both subjects are so intertwined. Physically they're almost next-door to each other, I learnt about one at the other, and the key figure was at both. In addition, I'm fascinated by that absurd juxtaposition of the irreverent humour, Japanese Pop and 'the horror, the horror'. That juxtaposition also strikes me as typically SA.

I also think it's appropriate to look closely at the murder-scene because it is the latest W-Hat controversy. So it's another important piece to consider when you reflect on the W-Hats as a whole, as you would at a one-year birthday celebration.

I appreciate that the crime-scene was created by one W-Hat member and is not some sort of official W-Hat group build. What I predict that some people are going to object to is that the build is permitted within the W-Hat area. So, to quote Chino Moreno, "go get your knife"... :)

Dave bitched at me for awhile about my comment, so I'm going to make this secondary statement:

When I made the previous comment, I meant only to demonstrate that you can't use the murder build to judge ALL of W-Hat. It was one player's build. With that in mind, MANY INDIVIDUALS offered comment on how to make the build more interesting, and many of the people I mentioned as not wanting the build to be on W-Hat land also LIKE the build -- myself included -- and just think it should have been done on private property.

I had thought that this was clear, but I am making this follow-up to make sure of it.

Carry on!

For what it's worth, I /am/ capable of completing a sentence, and was delivering the pseudo-history mostly as a running gag. One of the largest issues facing W-Hat is the inclusion of the group in the Prokofy-inspired 'SL Axis of Evil,' and the largest parts of our internal discussions of this viewpoint are satirical. That is -- we find the inevitable hatred of our organization to be hilariously misplaced, when so tolerated are the fearmongering mafia groups, "families" which repeatedly IM-threaten every member of an organization to whom a given W-Hat belongs, and actual hate groups such as those prevalent in Jessie.

While, overall, this article is well-designed and interesting from the editoral and journalistic perspectives, it also focuses far more upon the crime scene than any of the people at the party would have expected. The crime scene is, and has been since its recent inception, a note of controversy even within W-Hat. It is built on our land and many of us think it shouldn't be. It is admittedly a build designed to gather attention and to preclude a prank. But to make it the central aspect of a discussion of our 1-year anniversary is unnecessarily putrid. It was the work of a single W-Hat member, and does not solely represent the spirit and will of the group.

That said, you raise interesting questions, and I look forward to the next installment of this reporter's serial.
