There were some SSG operatives especially skilled at this. They would fake love affairs, win over people, even have huge weddings, the kind like you see with mafias in SL. Then they'd get control of the job/skill/club whatever lot. They'd rename it Shadow something. At this stage they might dump that original lover who might be left to lick their wounds somewhere else as some other lot's roomie, or else be intimidated into leaving the game. I saw this happen several times over, with people I knew well, and it would always astound me that despite these visibly nasty tactics, that involved faking love and even driving people from the game, and despite the renaming of the lot from its old, original name, to "Shadow" this or that, there'd still be this claim that I was crazy for saying there was an underground movement with a conspiracy, and there'd still be people who'd say the SSG was a nice neighbourhood watch group that held picnics and organized basketball tournaments for the young people.
