<description>The End of Civilization as we know it? You&#039;re probably right.

This will most likely be a very positive thing for the Civilization series, myself I&#039;ve been a Civilization fan since the first version which was release god knows how many years ago, I was a young kid then I think.

Civilization II remained most Civ fans favourite of the series until 4 days ago when Civ IV was finaly released. Only problem with Civ IV at the moment is the faulty multiplayer Peer 2 Peer netcode that is currently affecting all users. Hopefully thanks to this take over by Take 2 Interactive which, may I say a very respectable gaming giant; should change things for the better.
We can hope that they will change their strategy and allow Civ IV players to subscribe for a small monthly fee, and give us the option to play with dedicated Civ IV servers.

So thank you for the misleading story title Uri. lol

<description>Is this the next Electronic Arts? You know Jeff Brown is probably pissed he didn&#039;t think of buying that company first lol. It seems though that Firaxis has lost some of it&#039;s luster over the years and the Civiliation franchise was dwindling. Any word on why they made this business decision? I have a theory that some companies buy other companies just to end the games they produce as the the buying company may be coming out with a similar competing product. Just a thought.
