Super cool story, Fiend. Uri & Ordinal: do you two connected guys know some people working on Natural Language Processing in RL? I'd love to hear what they make of this kind of experiment and what it can say about RL processing. True, there are some serious complications in RL that don't seem to be in SL, but this Hallie (despite her bad hair) is way hotter than any pc running an NLP experiment that I've ever met.

I would also be very interested. In another life I was trained in natural language processing and suchlike. If only I had the time to put that sort of thing into practice in SL...

...admittedly I'm a bit behind the times now, it was years ago before paid employment and, you know, there's no money in it.

The sensitivity to environmental information is what makes this project interesting to me. It seems much more feasible to incorporate this information in SL than it is in RL, where nature doesn't wear the relevant information on its sleave -- I mean even edge detection is hard. I guess a research program could work like this: (i) see what kinds of environmental information are deployed in natural language use and then (ii) figure out how we extract that info in RL situations.

There are other projects like this going on in SL, but I don't know how much of that info is proprietarty. I'll see if those peeps can go public with their work.
