Of course I’m biased. Patrice is the love of my Second Life. At least I’m not biased against people who don’t fit into my particular aesthetic. And isn’t it interesting that, biased as I am, I could post a calm, rational reply to your overheated posts. Two, in fact.

I’d hate to think this is a Barbie thing, where you feel you have the right, maybe even some misguided duty, to criticize those whose appearance does not meet your particular standards. I’d really hate to think it was something like that.

As well, it strikes me as odd that you seem to get so upset at what you perceive to be a lack of information about a woman whom you find so unattractive. Passing strange. And you devoted so much time and energy to the project too! Curiouser and curiouser.

Unlike some people, I do not draw conclusions without evidence. I have learned how to think critically. So I can only wonder why you bothered to tear someone down who chooses to appear as she wishes, apparently because she does not conform to your idea of beauty.

I don’t know why you felt the need to get into a detailed analysis of what you feel are flaws in my appearance. I can tell you, it is very painful to have a critique like your one, of my avi, posted. I hope it never happens to you.

I am a grown up woman, and I know my look is different from some other post sixx girls. I was surprised that Marilyn wanted to photograph me, and that the Herald wanted to publish me. I was happy with the results, though. The way I look is the way I look.

About promoting my work and friends, yes, I did, I think that is pretty normal for a pinup “about me”.

Most of the questions you ask about my nationality, marriage eetc. you could have found out, by reading my profile, which I assumed second lifers would do,if they were interested. Most of the information is on my blog as well, for non Second Lifers who are interested.

I for one am happy to know where to get skin and body when I need a makeover..

I’m talking about the overabundance of upper lip ratio in the upper center top lip, versus the large lower lip. But of course, you undercut your credibility to remain unbiased because of your extremely foolish comment (and the fact you know her personally). She could be a doll, but that certainly doesn’t come out in this post, nor by the poses she chose, nor by the skin or shape. Am I supposed to sit her and say how wonderful she is when there’s absolutely nothing about her as a person?

Amazing, you, just like Marilyn only accept positive happy go cheery criticisms because… why is that again? Because a person doesn’t agree that someone is totally hot and sexy and to drool over, that means I’m wrong? No one’s wrong, it’s one’s opinion.

I mentioned plufs because there’s absolutely NOTHING to go with the info… aside from a bad shape… what else is there? Oh she likes to terraform? That doesn’t make one intriguing.

Not one mention of a company, plenty about her SL life and who she is, and lips that certainly don’t look like a blotch of lipstick was put on it in the center. Also her arms aren’t, by looks alone of course, around a size 12-14 with a size 3 waist. There was more about her in one paragraph than the whole thing for Patrice.

Not only incredibly good looking AND in proportion, but also a VERY nice long info set about her, her life, her thoughts and feelings. Which by the way, got TONS of comments about the insights she had.

Do you want me to keep going? I can link you almost every single P6G who has been here since I’ve started reading, that had SOME sort of substance in the info, SOMETHING to make you want to like her outside of some nudie pics (which as I said, aren’t that appealing because of what I see as a bad shape job and/or skin ((both contributes to the lips)))

And don’t try to explain it away as ‘what SL looks like’. I know plenty of what it does and doesn’t do and I know that it doesn’t give those kinds of dimensions without human/user doing it.

Then you need to check her write ups for her. She said it was HER (see: MY) local club. A mention alone is fine, but there was ZERO in the article except a lot of names and places. How do we know you don’t know the sim owner, or don’t own it. Who really puts the sim they live in out there for the world to see? They expect visitors? I mean, this is SL and griefing is daily… it wasn’t smart in the first place, so the only thing I can think of is a plug for someone.

If all that she mentioned was mentioned in SOME sort of context with SOMETHING to go with it besides a bunch of names… then it would seem like we are getting to know her SL. But as it is, we know she terraforms, and dances at a club.

I’ve been debating whether to weigh in on this series of comments. It might be a mistake for me to do so, but y’know, fools rush in etc.

You don’t care for Patrice’s body. Fine. A particular body type will be attractive to certain people and unattractive to others. As well, anyone’s body can be criticized on certain points. For one thing, SL shape rendering isn’t really good enough yet, and just as in RL, no SL shape is perfectly proportioned for everyone’s taste. But “doesn’t look human at all”? You undercut your credibility as a critic with such a foolishly extreme comment.

One thing I really like about Patrice’s shape is what you call “Hollywood Botox gone wrong.” There is nothing out-of-proportion about her lips. I wish I knew how to make my own lips more three-dimensional. Maybe you prefer the flat lips that seems to occur frequently in SL. As well, Patrice’s mouth is slightly open. Again, that’s unusual in SL, where we all seem to have our lips pursed.

As for what Patrice wrote, I’ve noticed that Post Sixx write-ups are all different. Models reveal more or less information and different kinds of information as they choose. It’s clear to me that what she wrote is about SL, since that’s mentioned three times.

Patrice has an SL terraforming business, something that also seems pretty clear. Although it’s a fairly new business, it’s thriving. She is highly skilled — and has the portfolio to back it up (see her blog, with links to stills and video of her work) — loves her work, and is getting one referral after another. Exaggerated indignation does not equal a critique. A “frenzy”? Because of a tongue-in-cheek comment about the joys of riding a bulldozer?

Some of what you call “plugs” seem to me rather to be credit where credit is due (or perhaps blame where blame is due, if that’s your opinion). The blog is directly related to terraforming. It’s not even a place to plug the business. It’s where she explains how she does what she does — giving away information for free. Iron Fist is simply the name of the sim on which we live — no plug there — and the Velvet just happens to be where we hang out. Not supposed to mention that?

I just don’t see the kinds of details you’re looking for in other Post Sixx write-ups. Can you point me to some? If someone says she’s an escort, is that not a plug? But since you seem so breathlessly unsatisfied with this particular spread, for reasons unknown, I’ll give you this: Patrice and I have been married for three and a half months.

When you open yourself up to ‘modeling’, you are scrutinized on appearance. I’m not ‘not’ celebrating differences, but calling it how I see it. It’s a human avatar that doesn’t look human at all. Not to mention, obviously Pix puts the emphasis on the looks. Ironically, you aren’t blasting those who are complimenting on looks but not saying anything about the article… comments only okay for naked posing models when they are good? Are you seriously telling me that a ‘model’ posing naked isn’t open to scrutiny on thier looks?

She mentions SL after that so is it in SL? RL? She a saucy German? Irish? Scottish? Chinese? Does she do terraforming for others? How long with the wifey? How long in SL? Anything for god’s sakes, all we got was a badly shaped av and a bunch of names….
