As a male in SL, I find nearly everything is female orientated.
The clothes, the shops, the whole e-commerce thing revolves around females shopping. Don’t mention shoes, I have four bricks and my GF has a container at the docks full.

There is very little for men and the existing choice is terrible, which acounts for the shirtless mouscle bound look and the same old bike trews that most ‘fashionable’ men seem to wear. This also applies to jobs, but thast another thread.

Players was one area that men got to see something that appealed to them, and some girls too of course.
