What I found humorous to watch about this story, which began getting legs about 2-3 weeks ago, is that the decision of one geeky corporate wonk in one company to block SL just because they pitched a fit about it was whipped up and spread over the entire globe as a meme, as if "corporations and workplaces and IT companies everywhere are now going to block SL as a time suck affecting productivity OMGODZORZZZ!!!!!1111"

I walked into 2-3 of the offices where I work and fully expected to sit down and find SL blocked (it can be blocked on networks anywhere in some places because the geeks are anal about letting anyone but themselves download and install software. In fact, I didn't find it blocked but of course this is a small sample. I asked one IT guy about this Sophos thing and he merely shrugged. Who uses it? Who bothers to care?

Sophos is a lousy anti-virus program any way. As an IT staff member I can tell you, it's a nightmare to administer.
