i’ve been following this post with the kind of morbid curiosity that makes you slow down for car crashes. i had little idea who tenshi vielle was at the beginning, but i’m starting to like the sound of her. anyone who can stir up this kind of shitstorm with a public apology clearly knows what the fashion industry is all about.

Phoenix?
1) Maybe you didn’t realize how much lag there was at the Mercury Couture show and unless you’re a total newbie then you should know better than to think I ran into people on purpose.
2) How can one make “loud” and “obnoxious” comments when complimenting others sitting around me? Not one comment I made was obnoxious, if you wanted complete silence you should have muted everyone around you.
3) If there was a ban on speaking to others and engaging in basic interaction 45 minutes before the event I was certainly not informed.
4) If there was indeed a problem with what I was or was not doing don’t you think the Whitfields would have said something? It was THEIR event, not TENSHI’s.
5) Correcting the spelling of others (what Tenshi was doing) and using demeaning and demanding language is far more obnoxious and loud than anything anyone at the event said.

It sounds like you’re making assumptions about people based on nothing but your biased opinion of your dear friend, Tenshi. As far as deciding what the others were thinking, maybe you should allow them to think for themselves and not make decisions for people.

Now unless you want to sabotage your friends apology I suggest you refrain from pissing the people who she wronged off.

Esmerelda, you were very annoying at the Mercury Couture show for the 45 minutes or so beforehand. You (seemingly purposefully) ran into everyone in the front row with your wheelchair, made loud and obnoxious comments and basically made sure everyone would notice you. So if someone does notice and comments in a negative way, well, honey, you have no one to blame but yourself. Tenshi didn’t say anything I and the others I was with weren’t thinking.

When I met you for the first time in my store, you seemed like a fun and sweet person. However, my own good personal experience was completely overshadowed by the side of you that I saw in your articles and on your blog.

None of us have an easy time admitting when we are wrong and I think you’ve shown class with this apology. I’m looking forward to seeing more of that fun and sweet side here in the future. Well done!

I accept your apology and appreciate the compliments about my turbans. The only thing I ask of you now is that if we are to run into each other, please treat me with dignity and respect that you would give to any other person. I do not appreciate being spoken to the way that you spoke to me at the Mercury Couture show, I was more than polite and respectful of you. If you can not treat me with respect then I ask of you to please do not speak to me or about me ever again. I appreciate that you are taking responsibility for your actions and if you are, in fact, turning over a new leaf I’d love to start over with a clean slate and I will forget everything said.

There are and will always be valid reasons for posting anonymously, none of which are to agree with yourself.

If I don’t post my name, you are forced to read what I say without tempering your response based on what I’ve said in the past. For instance, when someone sees YOUR name, they remember whether or not they agreed with your ideas on other topics, and reply accordingly. I would rather have someone assume things about me based on my anonymity than be ready to disagree with me simply because they didn’t like what I said somewhere else.

Call me idealistic, but I don’t think my reputation should be influencing this discussion. My words oughta be enough.
