Pix, this may come as a surprise to you, but the land search has this little box where you can select islands or MAINLAND ONLY.

Oddly enough, when you select to only see mainland, there are no $1 plots for sale..

Which single Linden is most responsible for oversight of SL land transactions?

Does anyone have a specific name?

Seems to me the Lindens are pissing in their own milk by avoiding dealing with these issues for so long.

So is the Second Derivative of the story above the fact that Linden Labs protects the more Huge and higher tier paying Land Barons while at the same time running interference against and helping to clobber the newer, smaller, hungrier Land Barons who might represent a threat to the stability of their Big Tier Cash Cow Land Barons?

Thats disgusting. That would do more to stratify the Second Life culture than about anything else I can think of. Because I think it happens throughout SL all the time. Oh wait, I meant “inSL”. Because I think it happens throughout inSL all the time. Root Axiom: IF YOUR MONTHLY SACRIFICE IS BIG ENOUGH, GOD WILL BE ON YOUR SIDE, BOMBED UP AND READY TO SNUFF OUT YOUR ENEMYS.

I wonder if I know any of these lousy Huge Land Barons that Linden Labs is protecting? Breaking legs for. Bouncing avatars out of the pool for. Land Baron Wars… Who knew?

Heh, its your own fault if your foolish enough to not only set your land for sale at 1L$, but also NOT set it for sale to a particular person.

And how is that last part anything bad? Its a very simple concept…
You pay 1$ to reserve the parcel, long enough to pay the actual price for it, while assuring that some douche doesn’t swing in and buy it from underneath you. Its a competitive land market, I’ve seen parcels I was considering, and they were bought literally 10 minutes later, when I returned to make the final purchase.
