I understand people wanting to experiment with avatars that look nothing like themselves and all but... Well the initial appeal of SL for most is the fun, but what usually makes people stay in SL are the relationships people develop with other people. Wouldn't you want them to like you for you? Maybe at least make an avatar that looks even slightly like yourself? I know I'm working on making my on IRL photos into a skin. Not too many people do that from what I've see.
