Nonetheless, let me reiterate: nobody really cares that you rejected a hiring requirement. I’d love to be able to walk up to my boss and say “I’m not going to follow this rule in the SOP’s but you can’t fire me!” because that would, obviously, get me fired (or, at the very least, laughed out of his office).

There is no “right” to employment (unless you’re black, that is). If you find one of the hiring requirements abhorrent, then you simply cannot work there. Why can’t you comprehend this simple concept? Sure, RGF is a bunch of assholes that nobody should do business with, I’ll give you that, but nobody’s hiring policies can be arbitrarily ignored.
