		<description>&quot;...the main appeal of Post 6 for many is probably the pics...&quot;

Other than noticing that they exist, I never look at the pictures. In fact, in one recent Herald article, there were so many pictures that I felt compelled to complain:

&lt;a href=&quot;http://foo.secondlifeherald.com/slh/2009/09/second-life-high-roller-gambling-part-1.html&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;http://foo.secondlifeherald.com/slh/2009/09/second-life-high-roller-gambling-part-1.html&lt;/a&gt;

		<description>LOL! No need to apologize for forgetting my name, Marilyn. You have merely, in any case, unintentionally reinforced my point about my own lack of remarkableness!

I entirely get that Post 6 is a fluff piece, and that it is supposed to be fun. Not EVERYTHING need be a hard news story, or a profoundly philosophical exploration of the human condition, etc., etc. That said, however, even fluff pieces need to be interesting (if not necessarily &quot;serious&quot;) if they are to sustain attention. Granted that the main appeal of Post 6 for many is probably the pics, these too need to be interesting; there is, after all, no shortage of scantily clad perfect bodies in SL.

I very much agree with and applaud your decision to have the models write their own bios, although not all are capable of doing a very satisfactory job of this. I think, perhaps, one way of improving Post 6 might be to pay a bit more attention to THIS facet of prospective models.

I don&#039;t know that I think that Vamp is &quot;ordinary.&quot; It&#039;s true that one can compartmentalize anyone, but it&#039;s equally true that no one is really a stereotype. We are all, in the immortal words of Monty Python, individuals. The TRICK is focussing on what it is about ourselves that makes us different. Vamp is, I&#039;m sure, very interesting as a person: the problem here is that she PRESENTS herself as rather ordinary.

Maybe Timothy needs to develop an aptitude for helping models express what it is about themselves that makes them distinctive and unique?

(As a sidebar: I hate that there is no other real venue for discussing these issues other than the comments section of the actual feature. I dislike talking about the models in the third person, and am actually pretty uncomfortable with the fact that comments like this seem to be focussed upon judging the individual, rather than upon discussing the feature itself.)

		<description>Or your eyes are out of whack. You forgot that one. Has nothing to do at all with the shape or the skin, its the angle of the shot.

		<description>I think she looks fine. The breast are a bit large to the body, but Redgrave skins are notorious for making you look like you have fake breast implants. The faces are outstanding, though. Cut the woman a break. Her avatar is attractive and you men (and some women) complaining know you would smash in a minute if she let you. LOL!

		<description>I&#039;m amused you&#039;re so touchy about this.

I was not making a comment on what my opinion was on whether such a feature is good or not, but rather that proportionately speaking, they are. Either your breasts are too big or your head is too small.

Your avatar is for yourself, but if you want to post it on a site, especially one such as the Herald and Post Six which is notorious for criticism and insults of the people, you better expect some comments on your choices.

		<description>@at scylla: gasp, i apologize for forgetting your name, sheesh my memory sux so much anymore. all you say is correct and yeah the attempt to elicit thought or discussion and more interest is a good goal.
@im just saying: read above. so yeah u are right also.

ha ha. look. for the record, and as i remember it. years ago, in a galaxy far far away. urizenus visited me and we talked a bit about a feature he wanted to do in the herald called post sixx. he said something about it resembling some london, england newspaper post 3 spot, where some bikini clad cutey filled a page and the editors made a few inane remarks about her. cheesy, sexy, fluff. i have never seen this paper. he said nudity would be part of post sixx. ok. i made the small change that the model would talk about herself, rather than have others comment on her.
i took it to mean, and approached it as, a cheesecake fun thing. i tried very hard to be very inclusive and do a wide cross section of avatars.
as to vamp being ordinary, or someone u can run across all the time. hmmm. cant all of us be put in a box? cant you say about the vast majority of avatars they fit some mold u can see all the time? from the guy on the make, to the cerebral builder type to the clothes designers or the models or the strippers or the fashionistas or the star trek folk or the goreans or furries or etc... i think i can be listed among the dumb barbie bimbos myself here.
it wasn&#039;t described to me as a deeply meaningful article ever. it is fun for the photographer and the model really. the desire for serious anything about post sixx just seems misplaced to my poor lil raisin like brain.
