It’s all about the suspension of disbelief, folks. Forget who might be behind the avie and take the pixels as they are. Immerse yourself in your SL identity and stick with that. Focus in interacting at the overt SL level and forget about trying to speculate on what’s happening at the RL level. Once you can get past wondering if someone like Dianna is a 60-year-old man or depressed 30-something woman, all you have to do is go with the SL flow.

Also, I love how the peanut gallery switches from “60-year-old fat man” to “fat, depressed 30-something” once their first insult can be disproven.
