[I have very mixed emotions about this particular feature - it marks the end of an era. One of the all-time sexiest avatars in SL, a great friend, and an amazing photographer is posing as a Post 6 Grrrrl - the Herald's highest honor for avatar art. Sadly, this is also Justine's retirement . Despite my pleas, the incredible Ms. Babii is stepping aside to spend more time enjoying RL. While this is a bittersweet time for all of the staff at the Herald, it is also a special treat for our readers. Justine - its been a great run and I wish you all the best! - the Editrix]

This week I had two things to do in Second Life. I had to help Jaime Wheeler finish up things in the new issue of SexySecond Magazine, and Ihad to find a model for my last week as the Post 6 Photographer. Yep, that’sit, I’m hanging up the camera.

It has been a lot of fun being the Post 6 Photographer. I’vemet a string of great people who modeled for me week after week. It was also anhonor to meet those models who Marilyn Murphy photographed too. The whole ridehas been a treat and I thank Pixeleen for wrangling me into it.

I’ve had a great time in Second Life in general. I hit theground running and went to work at SLNN,which was full of great people. Then I met Celebrity Trollop and got to workfor the Second Style Magazine and the Fashionistablog which was a great experience too. I’ve been truly blessed here.

So while I recommend Second Life, I’m online less and less. Real Life is getting its claws in me prettygood, and I’m finding I like it. Going out, I thought it would be fitting to dowhat the models have done and pose here for you. Be gentle, I’m thin skinned,as you can see.

Th-that’s all folks, it’s been a lot of fun!

[Note from Justine- Myf McMahon has been patiently waiting her turn on the Post 6 list a while now, but I'll let her tell you about that. It never ceases to amaze me how many fun and interesting people there are to talk to in world, and this week I'm pleased to introduce one of them- Myf McMahon, this week's Post 6 Model].

I knew it would come to this, just knew it. After first talking with Justine weeks ago, after she said she could use me for a post six, you’d have thought I might have done some sort of preparation, put some consideration into what I might say, what I might use this opportune platform for. But ohhh no, I did what I usually do; I procrastinated, ignored the ever approaching deadline until it was too late. The follow up IM arrived. Justine contacted me, told me I’d reached the top of the list. And so here I sit; the hours grow short and I’m left with no time to make my essentially boring self worthy of your attention, be it kudos or a kicking.

Look, honestly, bluntly, I’m nobody special. Just another member of the unending crowd, joined in just over a year ago, part of the wave that began in early ’07. Most of my social interactions focus around Sanctuary Rock, the place and the people. I dance there, sometimes host there. Most of my friends in SL can be found there. I don’t blog, but I’ve done a couple of photo essays. I’ve posted these on a couple of non-SL fora I frequent, my own little attempt to counteract the "SL is all shopping malls and sex clubs" meme (and yes, the irony of saying that in a post six isn’t lost on me thank you very much). I build stuff when mood and inspiration strike, sell these trinkets in my store. My crap’s not of interest to everybody though, so I’m not gonna shill it here (anymore than I have done). If you’re care enough to look, you care enough to profile perv me to find my store.

As for my avie, honestly I just wanted to remain somewhat true to myself. I’m not tall, I have boobs that only just fill an A cup. After shaving off some poundage and toning up the flab, it didn’t occur to me to fix other aspects. Besides, by the time I was seriously customizing my look, I’d been around the grid long enough to know leggy, busty supermodel types are everywhere. Being a little different became a badge.

So that’s me, that’s Myf McMahon done and dusted. Over to you great unwashed, let the slings and arrows begin!

[Note from Justine- I was out looking for a model for this week and it was my great fortune to meet Perri Prinz, who I'm sure you'll agree is as gorgeous a person as she is an avatar. /me shuts up now so you can enjoy her].

Hi. I’m Perri, a shy but friendly alien princess bunny morph. The kind you see in many anime sci-fi romance shows. Sometimes I’m a pretty anime girl with blue hair. Sometimes I’m a cute cream colored bunny which can sprout wings and become a bunnyfly.

SL is kind of my life away from real life, which is not all that pleasant for me, being as I suffer from a number of handicapping afflictions. But I really don’t like to talk about that, as that’s what I come to Second Life to get away from. So the quickest way to irritate me is to ask a lot of questions about who I am in RL. This reminds me that I’m not really a cute anime/bunny girl, breaking the illusion and making me depressed. So, if you meet me and want to chat, chat with my character. She’s much more fun to be around than the real me.

My interests are Japanese animation and pop culture, classic cartoons, many different kinds of music, particularly classic rock and old time rock & roll. I tend to get irritated with most of today’s music, particularly droning techno and dark screaming death metal, which limits the number of clubs I’ll go to on SL. Sometimes I hang out at The Shelter or The Bubblegum Music Factory. Sometimes I hang out at Rainbow Tiger when I want to be among other furry types.

I don’t make any particular effort to keep to furry areas. I just go where I want to go. And, after all the stuff I heard on the net about how unaccepted furries were, I’m pleasantly surprised by how accepted and loved my bunny avatar has been, no matter where I go in SL.

For the most part SL has been a pure delight in the number of beautiful people I’ve encountered and become friends with. Sometimes I hear talk about griefers and general nastiness going on, but somehow I never seem to see any of that. Everyday on SL is, for me, a grand adventure – never knowing who I’ll meet or what virtual wonders they’ll show me.

That’s all I can think to say. So, I hope you enjoyed the pictures, and I’ll see you all in world.

Boy was I surprised when someone approached me about having some photos taken and being a Post 6 Grrrrl. First off, the photographer didn’t operate out of the back of a van and secondly…WTF is a post 6 grrrrl? I looked into it and agreed to do the session solely for the one person who submitted my name who must be the same ‘one person’ in SL I haven’t offended or pissed off yet. So I hope you all enjoy the pics.

Now on to the fun stuff. I started my Second LIfe adventure in December of 2005 and immediately wondered what I’d gotten myself into. I came from such games as EverQuest, Star Wars Galaxies, Never Winter Nights and Matrix Online, so SL was quite a shock to my system…"you mean I don’t have to kill anything for better armor?" No…just sit on a camping chair for hours. Anyway, I enjoy SL as a comfortable social world where I can keep in contact with old friends and meet new folks. I enjoy visiting clubs and interesting builds and I also try my hand at building and twisting reality. I have a very close core group of friends i’ve known for years that I usually hang out with and in general I keep to my self and am shy unless the mood strikes me to be otherwise or someone denounces Feta cheese or refers to themselves as…"this girl" or "this boy".

I love all sorts of avies but I’ve been a faun/satyr most of my time in SL and love to roleplay as one even in non-rp areas…it drives people nuts. I also collect unusual pick up lines and come ons from people in SL so check out my profile in the Picks section, I’ll change them from time to time. Hope to see some of you in world soon.

Greetings all! I’m Lorelei, and I’ve been in SL since July of 2007. I started out viewing SL as simply an escape from RL. I was determined that I would not mix the two; SL was going to be just a place where I could forget everything and have fun living out my fantasies. Trouble is… I found myself naturally seeking the same things in SL that mean the most to me in RL – love, both that "special" sort, and the love of dear friends/family. I have found both. We are all real people behind these avatars, and it’s impossible to think of them as just pixels on a screen. At least, it is for me. I am loved by the finest man Man in SL, my beloved Master, Gage Ultsch. I’ve made many dear friends here too, and I treasure each and every one of them. I’m very laid back and easy to talk to, and always happy to make new friends, so don’t hesitate to say hello if you run into me!

I was barely a week old in SL before I naturally gravitated toward the Gorean crowd. Gor is absolute heaven for a girl like me, who is a born submissive, ultra-feminine, as straight as they come, and prefers her gender roles very clearly defined. In Gor I can relax, surrounded by those like me and those who understand me. I don’t have to constantly explain to people WHY I love being a slave, or defend myself to those who have a problem with that. I was comforted by the rituals and the rules of Gor… I like knowing what is expected of me, and having a routine to live by. Don’t let the pretty gown in that first picture fool you – I’m a blissfully happy full time slave in SL! My Master happens to like seeing me in a pretty gown from time to time, and I live to please Him. Mostly, though, He prefers me in sexy silks, which is just the way I’m most comfortable myself. My collar may be hidden occasionally, but it is ALWAYS there – I wear it around my heart just as surely as around my neck.

I’ve lived mostly in Gorean cities (Tafa, Ti) during my time in SL, until now. Then the moment all slave girls dream of finally came, for me. I met my One, my Love, the Master I was meant for. I loved Gor, but when my dear Master decided some time ago that it was time for us to leave it, of course I followed Him. It was difficult for me, at first, since Gor was the only SL home I had ever known, but from the first moment I saw my Master, my home has always been by His side. I could never be truly happy anywhere but where He is. Now we make our home on the Beautiful Isle of Vindarkis, my Master’s medieval/fantasy RP sim. I spend the majority of my time there by my Beloved One’s side, roleplaying or watching Him build or just hanging out and having great fun with the whole Vindarkis gang. Our group is full of wonderful, talented people who have become more like a second family to us than just a RP group. New members are always welcome, so please stop in and visit us if you feel so inclined.

When I’m not in Vindarkis i can usually be found at my lovely beach house, which I share with my sweet friend Margo Cortes. It’s become sort of a home-away-from-home for the whole Vindarkis bunch, where we can all hang out and catch up with old friends, change clothes, enjoy some quiet time, or generally be silly and have a blast. The rest of the time I’m usually shopping (mainly for silks), or working. I do most of my shopping AT work, actually. I adore my job as an Analise model! As a longtime customer, I already owned most of the silks and knew that they were the finest in SL (I’m wearing their purple "Celina" silks in the second picture). One of the proudest moments of my SL was when I was chosen to model Talyn Barrett’s lovely creations for the rest of you.

Thank you, Justine, for giving me the chance to appear here and introduce myself to everyone! I look at this mainly as an opportunity to meet many new friends, so don’t be shy – drop in for a visit, won’t you?

I was shopping last week and met Khitten Kurka, who graciously agreed to be this week's Post 6 Grrrl. She is a beautiful avie and a beautiful person.]

A few weeks ago, I was participating in a grid-wide Easter Egg Hunt. That’s when I bumped into Justine– literally! Lag was horrible that day and I think we were both stuck in our respective spots. After a few IM’s and several sweet compliments on my AV, I signed up for the Post 6 Grrl. Thanks to Justine and the Herald for this opportunity. Not sure of what I have gotten myself into, but I guess that can be said about my time in SL.

I am like any other girl on the grid, I do enjoy the shopping, dancing, dating, and er uh, the extra-curricular activities (smile). I spend plenty of time hanging out with friends and just having a good ol’ time. But as an AV of color it can be a challenge to play SL. Remarks I get about my AV are hilarious. Why is my AV so dark? Why is my AV so fat? Why is my AV so short?

Why on earth would someone ask such silly questions? If SL is supposed to be a cyber representation of the world, wouldn’t there be room for someone that looked like me? Maybe normal isn’t normal anymore. *sigh* Luckily, there are tons of plump avies and avies of color are all over the grid. I am happy to count myself among them. I make no excuses for how I "rep" myself in SL. Like it or lump, this is Khitten!

So, what do I do in-world? I experience things I don’t have time or the ability to do in RL. Meet people from far away countries and learn about their life and culture. Explore creative spaces and hang out with greenies. Enjoy the creativity of others as they build replicas of the Eiffel Tower or my hometown, NYC. From time to time, I model or spin as a DJ. But what I find most pleasurable are the additional friendships I have gained. I have "met" members of my sorority that live in other parts of the world. I have made friends that live just a few hours away. For me, SL has allowed me to learn more about virtual communities and the people that exist within. A totally foreign concept to me before February 2007. But now, a very constant and "real" part of my life!

[Note from Justine- Every once in a while I find a model who has a number of different looks, each more fantastic than the one before it. Shok's collection of avatars is impressive and it was very frustrating to have to limit my choices to just three pictures! It was a great pleasure to work with Shok, and I appreciate the effort it must take to not only pose here for us, but to write in an adopted language! I only hope the pictures do Shok justice].

Well I’d like to introduce myself, I am Shok, aka Shoky’pooh to my friends because I am friendly and huggable.

I started SL a while ago, more than a year. I have been doing so many things around, like discovering a lot of new music bands, new friends and also I discovered how to build.

Building and making things are two things I do a lot of the time. I built some stuff for friends like tee-shirts or collars and even houses…I love building and some people think that I am skilled at it.

And then I met Justine into one of my fav’ clubs. She IMed me and said that I am a hottie and the she wanted to shoot me. It wasn’t the first time and I like doing that because I love fashion and changing clothes. I hope you will enjoy the pictures as I enjoyed making them with Justine.

A lot of kisses and huggies, Shoky’pooh.

[Note from Justine: This week I found Calcirya Fall and was thrilled when she said she'd pose. I had never heard of a futanari neko, and was pleased to make the acquaintance of one in Calcirya. I hope my pictures do justice!].

Well that is me so I don’t know what else I can say. What you see is what you get! First of all Second Life is made for people to have a…second life, so that being said it is best that you respect that, and let people do what they want to, without criticism.

Now that I got that out of the way, a little about myself…I am fairly new to SL, about a few months I would say so I am still finding out a lot of things…I mostly just hang out at different places, dance, you know all that good stuff! I have met a few good people in my time on SL and well a lot of assholes too, but hey I expected that and I love me some assholes, it is a turn on . I mostly started SL so I can express my fantasies and try things, at first…now I actually enjoy it and my sexual activity is really low, hanging out and meeting with people is much more exciting. I am really into metal music and I enjoy the whole post-apoc/cyberpunk look if you couldn’t see that already!

Well that is really all I can think to say about me, I don’t mind meeting people so hey if you want to contact me you can , all you assholes message me too I love a good laugh, hahaWell thanks I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. <3

[Note from Justine: I decided it was time to take a break from the Post 6 list for a couple of weeks and get a little variety in the mix. As soon as I thought we should feature a Post 6 Guy, I spotted Glamis Decosta and was very happy he said he'd pose].

When Justine approached me about modeling for the second life herald, I was excited at the opportunity. When it comes to fashion, I’m pretty clueless. Luckily I’ve met some great ladies in SL who have helped mold me into what I am today. Being a guy, I’m already at a disadvantage because we’re dealing with a much more limited selection than the girls. My inventory is mostly free stuff, but I’ve spent a few lindens on a few things that were for the most part worth it. Lately I’ve been hanging out at a couple of clothing optional or not-allowed places, which is nice because I don’t have to figure out what to wear–and you know guys we’d rather be naked anyways!

So what do I do in SL for fun? Mostly meet new people! I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, although being on the west coast is tough because most people are up late by the time I get online in the evenings. Live entertainment is fun, and theme parties are always a hit (especially when you win contests). I do have a RL–when it’s slow I’m online more–and it’s hectic I’m online less. So I’ve drifted in and out of friendships as I come back and find my old friends no longer come online (or maybe they’re just blocking me–you never know for sure).

It’s unfortunate that my social skills in SL don’t really help me meet women in RL. It’s much easier to break the ice when you TP in someplace and land on somebody’s head–because that’s always a conversation starter. Now that I’m a model maybe that will help. "So what do you do?" "I’m a model. My abs don’t look like much now, but you should see them in Second Life." I dunno–I should probably keep that to myself. Although now that I’m an SL model I’m looking forward to hanging out with other models and the rich and famous of SL. I feel bad for all my old friends, but I don’t think I should probably be seen hanging out with them anymore. It’s all about my image now. LOL (jk friends!)

My new favorite places to hang out (literally) are Bare Naked Dancing, Dozer (28,18,37) and the Naturalist Resort (110,238,21). Better hope this naturalist thing doesn’t catch on, or there will be a lot of out of work clothing designers!

[Note from Justine- Occasionally a model pops into view for her Post 6 Grrrl interview and takes my breath away. Terra Ellison is one such model. With great pleasure I present Terra Ellison, Post 6 Grrrl].

Hello there,

Yet another Post6 Grrrl presented to the readers of the infamous SL Herald. Usually this would be the point to state how one joined Second Life and most of all why they did. It hasn’t been that long for me, just about 1 1/2 years yet I fail to remember why exactly. A friend of mine probably introduced me to it. Then again, memory is the thing you forget with.

At the beginning of my second life, I must admit I was a wee bit overwhelmed with it. And in some places I still am, though not as much as I used to. My first days were marked by wandering around, trying not be too much of a newbie. Fortunately, I met quite a few helpful people who I still meet every now and then. After that initial stage, I started going to clubs, beaches, museums, galleries etc. Closely followed by first humble attempts to build. But I quickly realized two things: (1) The true nature of my talents (should there be any worth mentioning) must something different. I’m optimistic that I will find out eventually. (2) I lack the interest and determination to make up for the absence.

To cut the story short, I never got beyond the most simple pieces of furniture.

To embody the cliche of a female university student, I soon discovered a huge interest in shopping but a low budget kept me from developing an addiction to it. As you might have guessed already, even a low budget needs some kind of source of Lindens. You have probably guessed as well, that with a lack of talent in the field of building, scripting isn’t exactly my strength either. So what field was left to raise some quid? Uh huh, I began working at a club. Of course, working there came along with stripping on stage. (I don’t think I’d do that in real life, on the other hand I doubt anyone would want to pay to view that in reality).

Unfortunately I had to stop working there, classes and upcoming exams made it necessary to spend more time reading books. So currently my second life mainly consist of traveling again, trying to find interesting places and activities. Even though I prefer smaller and less crowded places now. I’ve grown accustomed to them, either to just slip into my baffies and hang out or to listen to music and join a party with friends. A supplement for real life? Nah, I doubt it.

So much for my Second Life biography for now. Well I could add that I met quite a few friends, had a good time (except for the occasional griefer, c’est la vie) and seen many interesting spots in that universe. So the next step would be to become more than the average user and start contributing. I’ve been searching lately and I have even found a thing or two. Time will tell.

I’m quite sure at least a few who’ve had a look at the pictures immediately though "Oh great another blonde numpty, haven’t we see enough of them yet?". As much as I’d love to speak up and prove them wrong, looking my avatar I must admit there’s truth to that opinion.
And why haven’t I changed it then? Perhaps because I haven’t had the time yet (excellent excuse, huh?), or because I cannae be bothered to. I’m used to these looks and I will only change them bit by bit. At least I hope than I can pull myself out of the bimbo pit using my personality. Yes, I think I do have some of that.

If you have read until here, you’ve almost made it. The end is near. Soon you can leave a comment if you want to. I figure that if I can write about myself, without any life changing points, people can comment in any way they like. I’ve been warned after all.
And hey , it might distract yourself from the latest copybot episodes for a few moments. Which would be better than nothing at all.

I have to read up on media economics now, I hope your plans are more exciting.

Mar sin leat!
