Your Imagination, but now it’s Activeworld’s: Stagecoach Island Failure has Content Contributors Crying Fowl

Tony Walsh (aka Zero Grace) has a superb article on the failure of the Stage Coach Island Project, that a group of Second Life residents undertook for Well’s Fargo Corp.  Not only has Wells Fargo moved the project out of Second Life and into Activeworlds, but it has taken a lot of SL resident work with it — work of the "never compensated" kind.  Consider the following concerns registered by Cuby Terra on the forums:

"It looks to me like [Swivel Media] duplicated the designs of my [skydiving] pods, the launch pads, the parachutes, and even the shelves and signage. Textures that I created myself in Paint Shop Pro now appear in Active Worlds somehow. At no point did I make any agreement to give away the rights to my designs and textures to anyone."

What can we say but always look a gift horse in the mouth.
