Lindens ruin phishing game – several staffers unhappy
by Pixeleen Mistral, National Affairs desk
Brent Linden today released cheat codes that might ruin the fun for an IQ test/phishing game in a blog entry here. The LindenHack.citymax.com site claims to give anyone 1 month or older in SL the princely sum of L$10,000 for every 30 minutes spent offline – evidently a reverse camp chair offer – or perhaps a fun IQ test for the unwary?
At press time an unknown number of Linden staff had fallen for the phishing scheme in an attempt to raise more L$s for the Lab and help it achieve profitability sooner. A sadder but wiser Unverified Linden complained that it wasn’t fair to send the staff looking for loose change under seat cushions – and everywhere else including user support – then yell at them for giving out their password while trying to raise money. Muttering darkly, Unverified Linden contacted support@lindenlab.com for a password reset.

Muhahah! Duh, of course Linden fell for it… but they did it for us, to see how bad it can get. I dunno about those who actually complained about it, maybe those really did fell for it.
Whatever, the point is, they saw something and warned us.
Scored one more point for Linden Labs.
SL Herald gets nothing. (cause they didn’t see it first. )

This is what the LindenHack.citymax.com page says now: “This website has been deleted.”
