Digital Culture Maven Anya Ixchtel and Gnome of NMC Larry Pixel at Slatenight Holiday Party

Well, it’s that time of year again when our competitors try to get us to stop writing and getting page hits by luring us to holiday parties on hidden snow sims, getting us drunk on lindenberry-infused frozen vodkas, pushing us on to dance-pose balls, and keeping us mesmerized with the sensitive, lyrical melodies of Mel Cheeky!

After five of those frigid potions, I was even being civil to Gnome of NMC Larry Pixel and thinking that Mel may have started a trend by dubbing me “Pro-voky“! Slatenight, in case you have been under a rock, is a hot new entertainment magazine that not only plays on a website in normal-looking HTML and has PDF, too, but provides a flippable book inworld (turns green with envy — I wonder when the Herald will be able to afford that!). Pick it up at the Ross infohub.

A magazine devoted to arts and culture in Second Life, slatenight, edited by Anya Ixchel, an English lecturer in Australia writing on digital culture, has had everything from machinima reviews, Gor analysis, wedding couture, and even an interview with Urizenus Sklar. (Well, they are nothing if not catholic in their tastes!) More pictures after the jump…

Oh, be sure to tell who made your gown so we can turn this into a total infomercial!

BTW, I’m seeing that creche there now, and thinking surely by now someone has called Little Gray…
