Hmmm … What to say about me? To be honest, I’ve always had a bit of a problem with this whole self-description thing. Whenever I’ve been asked to make a profile or an introduction for either a site or job interview, I’ve always been stumped as to what to put. I usually drivel out something, but it always leaves me wondering if that was the best I could do.
I suppose part of it stems from the fact that I’m a very people-oriented person. I love to study people. When I say study, I’m not meaning in a scientific or detached way, but rather I enjoy just getting to know people … to meet them … to learn about them … to get a feel for who they are, or at least the digital persona they choose to portray themselves as. This sometimes leads me to focus less on myself and more on others.
Even the different jobs that I have had within SL have always focused around getting to know people. I’ve worked as a dancer, model and escort since practically my first week inside SL (and going on six months now), and I know what you’re thinking … that it’s all about the sex … and, truly, a part of it is. However, there is also a part that genuinely allows you to connect with a person in a very intimate and very personal way. I’ve always believed that you can tell a great deal about the inner workings of someone by taking a look at their sexual fetishes.
Call this idealistic, bubble headed, or just plain stupid, it is who I am and is probably my main motivation for staying in SL (though shopping comes up to a very close second). Whatever the case may be, I thank you for allowing me to be a brief part of your Second Life today. And hey, send me an IM sometime … I’d like to get to know you. *wink*
