Avatars
I went to sleep last night and dreamt of avatars
Symbolic of our souls desire made visible to all
And through the eyes of avatars we danced, we loved, we played
No disease, no hunger, no death nor pain, no religion in the way
We flew like Peter in Neverland, dueled pirates for their gold
We sailed the sea at sunset’s edge and dove below for pearls
And the stars all fell around us, slowly and in awe
Of the beauty that surrounded us, the sparkling waterfall
We danced by the light of the jealous moon and snuggled by the fire
And kissed in the garden returned to us from the legend of the fall
I went to sleep last night and dreamt of avatars
Never to wake in silent sleep, forever in the stars.

This is a very lovely poem, somehow I’m hearing it sung to a tune that Frogg Marlowe and Jaycatt Nino might play.

I agree. Very good poem. My sense is that there are lot of very good artists floating around SL and feeding off of it these days. We get obsessed with the techies and the pervs and the virtual business types, but maybe this is where the real story is.
