War With No End in Sight

This reporter was teleported into a war zone Sunday morning, and as I stood behind a desk for cover I asked a few Merczateers their opinions. In the background, you could hear the twang of bullets hitting the unlucky soldiers below. Thanks God there was a protective wall in the sky headquarters above Badnarik sim, the main Merczateers military installation.
As we spoke, there were a few Alliance Navy airships bombing the Merczateers below. Alliance Navy Admiral Nanao Mahfouz was spotted near us in his airship as he fired at us – but he was shot down — I was being protected by a few experienced Merczateers.
During breaks in the gunfire, I asked who had the upper-hand in the on-going war between the Merczateers and the Alliance Navy. Kristian Kit – an officer in the Merczateers – responded by saying “Well my personal opinion is that AN and Mercz. has to prove to each other who’s the best and who fights the more honorable way.” This was interesting considering that this two militaries use to be very close allies many months before the war broke out.
When I asked if the MOSCOW treaty was still active or if had been discarded, Kristian replied that it had indeed been rejected by Alliance Navy, and the Merczateers would be looking at the new STABLE treaty offered by the Alliance Navy. This treaty would limit the weapons used by the militaries to insure that none are griefing the other and gaining an unfair advantage.
I asked when the war will be over, but the responses were not optimistic. Keno Pontoppidan laughed and said, “Ha the war will never be over.” Ropeytwo Brennan then commented “Till one group loses it’s will to keep up the fight.” Faust Leopold looked thoughtful, then told me “Well, essentially the war will never be over…we’ll have temporary peace treaties sometimes and the like, but it’ll never REALLY be over unless both groups disband.”
I was stunned by this – could this war go on for years instead of months until one army gives in? I was told the end will not happen soon. War is hell.
I then asked about Mission Crucifix – an operation where the Alliance Navy invaded the Merczateers sim and held it for a matter of hours while bombing, firing missiles and firing normal bullet rounds at all returning Merczateers. Lurdan Huszar, the Merczateers Supreme General of sorts then wiped the sim of every prim, making the land only accessible to Merczateer members and re-building everything back to standards.
When I asked if another Crucifix day is possible – I was told by an officer of the Merczateers, Ropeytwo Brennan that “To the Mercz, I’m not sure. Not for awhile, but we’re planning something. I really can’t tell any details.” I asked if the planned mission’s scale would be a very large and I was told “If we get cooperation from the lower ranks, I expect it to be a total success.”
This is where I ended my report and left the base. As I left, I pondered the imponderable – How long will this war go on? Who will be the victor and what will happen next? This reporter swears to get these questions answered by the end of this war – if the war ever ends.

Recent news is that there has been a disruption in the Merczateer’s Officer Corp. Would any Mercz like to clarify this with the rest of the public, it pertains directly to this article.
Inuyasha, shave the mullet off, find your a group better firearms that you can standard issue, and build a more presentable base and people will take you more seriously.

If you have not noticed, CN has existed for five months. Our founders have re-united, and with our foriegn relations moving in the right direction, we feel that SLSN and AN will be easy targets. The Feds and CN have won their last four battles against AN, what more may we say.

Uh, eh? Since when was a Sirlor script M590 (M90 or whatever) assault rifle a bad firearm? Saying we have no ships or large arms is also absurd. Despite we are a group that has exacty seventy five linden, and runs on a one hundred l dollars a week budget, we are quite well equipped with an EXCELLENT air defense system. Most enemy aircraft will be out of the sky before they even have the opportunity to attack the CN occupied regions of Jessie and Clyde. While we can’t afford a base, so what? We can occupy sims. It is that easy.
Did I tell you we have two destroyers we are attempting to set the final commission order on? I must have forgot to tell you all. Thirdly, do any other militaries run a reputable sea division? No.

Since always. Don’t get me wrong, Sirlor’s a great guy. But his older stuff (hell, the scripts you guys have were leaked out like a year ago) are lagtastic spam monsters that can bring a sim to its knees.

Uh, yeah, let me get started, Raideur.
Well, the HC had this hair-brained scheme to recruit Titan as, for the most part, an extension of our Aeronautics Division, seeing as, without their flight expertise (at least compared to most of ours) Crucifix would have turned out much worse than it actually did (for us).
After a fortnight or so, we came to realize the discipline problem within the Titan members, as the High Command was afraid to actually STOP the blatant disregard for leadership, authority, the use of illegal weapons, etc. This was due to the fact that Titan was building Mechs, a new fighter, Armada, the works, for the Merczateers, and with our sheer numbers behind us in several aspects, there wasn’t much that could stand between us and victory, however, it became apparent that the consequences of letting these crimes run unchecked, and smearing the honor of the Merczateers, was far worse than the most humiliating defeat the Alliance Navy could offer.
Of course, the discipline was a minor factor now looking back on it, especially when held in comparison to the equipment issue : Titan members refused to use anything but a Titan weapon, (the two weapons of option to be used were the Ordo LMG, which carried infinite ammunition, thus making it illegal, and the newly updated, Titan P90, which was outfitted with a whopping twelve scripts, as well as orbitter bullets, chat spy bullets (against TOS), explosive rounds, in fact, just about anything you can think of, with “bullet” typed next to it.) rather than use weapons scripted by Ishida Dye, as ordered, as his five script weapons (designed to have a low impact on sim lag) were “crappy”.
I spoke to Aryte on the matter Friday night, and without much of a pause, announced the resignation of he, and all other Titan members. This included Gen. Melly Deemster, who had been with us since the resurrection of the Merczateers in Gangwon, but nobody complained really, because the only major thing she ever did was bring Titan over, and I guess you all know how spectacularly that went.
After Melly’s resignation, we brought Gen. Jonathan Arna back, since he’d been asking to return for a week or so before the event, and we gladly accepted, however, he was to remain Podpolovnik (Colonel) rather than remain his former rank as punishment for the mishap with the Kremlin.
About an hour after that, Aryte announced the return of the Novus Ordo Imperialis, after nearly six months of hibernation as “Titan Industries” the new name of the group has not been totally decided yet, but shortly thereafter, Nanao Mahfouz, and Harlequin Salome requested a meeting with Ishida and I, complaining about “how they-had-to-deal-with-the-Ordo-all-over-again-and-it-was-all-my-fault-for-driving-them-out-and-Ishida -too-for-being-mean-to-them-for-not-using-his-guns”.
The Ordo has declared a loose friendship with the Merczateers, because, despite our differences, we still face a common enemy, and I’d hate to have to face those damn LMGs.

God I hate those LMGs. Six fire scripts, all offset like a shotgun, and naturally no ammo count.
We had a feeling this would occur. The Ordo do not appear to want to follow the “rules” that, despite infringements on -both- sides (AN and Mercz) by either frustration, accident, or new troopers, we obey. Myself and several others provide other groups with technical assistance for various things, like firearms if any group requests so. (Not all of them being AN) (Though whoever made the models for your AK did a very tasteful job.)
The Ordo are rebels; this is not debatable. The war with the AN and Mercz may continue, but perhaps the main driving force behind the AN’s hostility has “handed in its resignation.”
Inuyasha, if you act nice, I will even help you and your group build a standard firearm that doesnt use Sirlor scripts. They work, but they arent sim friendly.

yea, now I know why your group is full of grieffers, they are ex ordo. they AV fly in combat, fire from safe land, use auto killers, seekers, phantoms, sit hacks, and the list goes on.

Everyone, let me First say, my previous post, I did not mean to pUblicly harm the members of Titan Industries (whom have reCently announced that the rebirth of the Ordo was merely a hoax to get a rise of out Harlequin and Nanao), and I believe I should maKe an appology to You all. Of cOurse, the largest issUe was with equipment, and it stARted in our handbook, that Titan weaponrY was allowed, however, our officers were denying The usE of these weapons because of, one, Ishida was outfitting our entire group, and two, the weapons had bullets against our ROE, nevertheless, our handbook allowed them, and we were wrong in our hypocrisies.
Second, I’d like to appologise to Melly, for calling her useless, you’ve done countless work for the Merczateers in the past, and regarding you to be any less merely based on recent events was selfish of me.
I’m sorry.
