Fiddy Likes Free Hot Dogs

With a $100,000 credit line you need to be getting hot dogs for free

by Tenshi Vielle, Fabulous Fashionista

F1

Okay, so 50 Cent was brought in-world a few days ago, a special in-world screening and live interview. I watched the video for a whole five minutes until the first "N word" was uttered; then I shut it off. I listened to his interview for a bit longer – until he started talking about his credit card with a $100,000 credit line, and getting hot dogs for free – and then I quit listening. (Oooh, HOT DOGS.) It also occurred to me during the interview that dear "Fiddy" has a very unhealthy obsession with MTV whiner Kayne West and they should just get a room- and get it over with.

I never, however, stopped looking at the amazing quality of 50′s avatar. So instead of his interview, I’m going to tell you all about his amazing avatar – created by DarkDharma Daguerre.

F2

Who commissioned you for 50′s avatar?

His label commissioned the avatar through a multimedia company they work
with, Click 3X. That company contacted me to do the avatar. Click 3X was
previously familiar with my work because earlier this summer I completed
Jimmy Kimmel, Guillermo and Uncle Frank for use in a segment of Jimmy’s
ABC-TV show.

How did you do the skin? It’s amazing.

I require certain exact poses of the real person to make a realistic avatar
and these specifications were passed along to 50 Cent’s people who then took
the required photos of him. Otherwise, the skin was made like any SL skins
are made using basic templates. When creating a realistic avatar, I never
make just skin for the customer. The shape greatly influences the look of
the avatar as well. My realistic avatar work includes creating a complete
avatar package with skin, shape, clothing and, in 50′s case, his blingey
jewelry.

Are there tips and tricks for working from sources for skinning? Can you
share a few?

There are no new tips and tricks that haven’t been written extensively about
before now. Having the correct photo resources is the biggest key to
creating good realistic avatars. I always insist on having these before I
begin and cannot in fact create a realistic avatar without them.

Did 50 have input on his avatar?

It wasn’t told to me *who* from his management was giving input on the
avatar, so I’m not sure about that one, but I suspect Fiddy did give some
input judging by some of the responses I received.

How did you work on his clothing?

Again, clothing was created in the normal way any other SL clothing is
created. I referred to source photos for the looks of his clothing. I did
use prim attachments to hide that always-problematic way that the upper and
lower shirt (jacket layer) appears with the pulled in waist on the avatar
body. Using sculpted prim attachments gave a much more realistic appearance
of a baggy rapper-type shirt.

Is there anything special about the avatar that you are entirely proud of?

I’m just generally proud of the way the avatar turned out. The whole
package, how it looks once it’s done, is the key, and the customer was very
happy with what I did!

Thanks to Motorati for doing such a great job with everything. :) If you’re ever looking for an event in-world, go check out the Pontiac sim!

    DarkDharma did a good job.

“Fiddy” still sucks though. Normally I wouldn’t say this but it would’ve been fucking priceless to see the PN hit him with loldongs.

    50 Cent in Second Life

Read about how an Avatar of artiste 50 Cent was created in Second Life. Hmm, should the Avatar be renamed 50 Linden?…

Yeah! Where were the PN in all of this? Particle bombing Lusk, as usual. Boring. Come on, you say you are in it for the Lulz? Here was a prime target – a rich, self-absorbed rapper who thinks he’s God’s gift to creation. And you did nothing? A play gangsta whose ego far outpaces his talent, and the PN didn’t even throw one bit of pooh? Are you scared that 50cent and his posse will track you down or something?

I knew it, you’re just a bunch of scriptkiddies without one pubic hair amongst you. A perfect target like this and not one Jello cube; you PN are pathetic.

“Yeah! Where were the PN in all of this?”

Some possibilities as to why the PN didn’t show:

    1) They might not have known that Fiddy was coming to SL. Hell, us Party Vikings didn’t know he was coming either. We wouldn’t have griefed him but we would’ve have trolled the Hell out of him until they ejected us. Then we would’ve just relogged with our sock puppet alts and done it all over again.

We missed the boat on this one. *headdesk* Maybe the PN did too.

    2) Second possibility is that you’re right and the PN are scared of Fiddy(or more likely Fiddy’s lawyers lol!).

I sincerely hope this no-talent rapper assclown comes back to SL and somebody make him squirm. All that needs to be done is to keep typing the following URL in open chat:

    http://www.zipperfish.com/toons/yaafm/yaafm-10-50-cent/

    Hilarity then ensues!

Ah, so that explains why Fiddy’s event wasn’t trolled or griefed.

Fucker puts up this front about being a big bad gangsta yet LL and MTV take steps to insulate him from the “serious business” of the interbutt. What a fag.

Yes that is an amazing skin. Everyone will have better skins soon. Can’t wait. But I want to talk about the dude with attitude.

A legend in his own mind, how can anyone else consider 50 Cent anything other than a negative, corrosive force in society and culture? I think it’s a bad thing he was in SL, or anywhere for that matter.

Who is 50 Cent? He’s a swaggering poser from the a stylized mythical gangstaland of crack criminals and meth hos. I’m so sick of hearing about his “street cred” as if he’s the only person to have had a hard life. Gimme a fuckin break.

Why do we encourage this prick? What he’s got is attitude and marketing skills, and with them makes the world a more fucked-up place.

Look at the guy’s lyrics and message. What exactly does he encourage in the world in his music and videos? Don’t answer as if you know until you read or hear them. Yeah, there’s always been and continues to be lots of violence in all corners of American culture and mass entertainment, but in hip hop, there are some “entertainers” who actually play the role _outside_ off the job, and glorify violence and banging hos in real life. 50 Cent has made his career by beefing with other people in his songs and on the street. That’s the difference between what 50 Cent does and what some other rappers do, or outside of rap what someone like James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano), who also “plays” a violent sociopath, does.

A lot of hip hop, especially a lot of recent hip hop, and most definitely 50 Cent, is bad for little kids for that reason. It’s not just play. It hardens the roles that kids (who are who he is marketed to) can aspire to. Now it’s corporate-sponsored, and that’s fucked up.

Yeah, 50 Cent would have his canned answer to the above, too. And it’ll be shallow, self-serving marketing spin. 50 Cent is interested in one thing: his own ego. In his world you’re a gangsta or a ho on a pole, period. Fuck that.

Fuck him and anyone who sponsors him. Pontiac should be held up to shame for throwing millions more at this freak. Clearly the “entertainer” doesn’t need more cash–he’s always rapping about how much he has (and you don’t).

Fuck Pontiac. It is funny to imagine white twentysomething kids from the burbs emulating crackhead gangbangers and their gashes rollin in Pontiacs, I love the image. But, Hello?, someone’s gotta say: Fuck Pontiac for contributing to this prick’s grand delusions — and for more violence, misogyny, and plain stupidity on the planet that comes with it.

Fuck Pontiac. And fuck that irresponsible, childish 12 y.o. twerp with muscles who is 50 Cent.

is that 50cent is only worthy of contempt

is he perhaps a 15 year old Liverpool hoodie who rides a black mountain bike?

gunning down 11 year kids is probably about 50 cents level

a two bit gangster – who would probably prob piss his immaculate designer label trousers if he were to mess with real hard people

Not necessarily, Tenshi. Was John Edwards present on SL when the PN left prim turds at his SL headquarters? Nope.

If there had been a window of attack, any trolling and/or griefing of Fiddy would be all over the blogosphere in less than a day.

Hate it or love it, the underdog is on top. I know the hate was going to come, but i thot slherald had a position against griefers. With comments I see here i know SLH is out of control.

lol what is it exactly you whiners dont like about him. Perhaps you need to be shot nine times to understand his lyrics.

and seriously your demographic dosent count, no one cares about your dislikes or likes. 50 is still on top and millions of others just like him.

You think his music is negative, how about the terminator whose a governor how is that any different.

    @obi-wan

“lol what is it exactly you whiners dont like about him. Perhaps you need to be shot nine times to understand his lyrics.”

I can’t speak for anyone else on this but here’s what I don’t like about Fiddy:

    1) He’s been shot 9 times, yet he still portrays the “thug life” as cool.

    2) Like most rappers, his music is always about the same shit(whores, drugs, guns, and money). Rarely do you hear Fiddy and his ilk rapping about kids in the urban core who manage to stay out of serious trouble, get a scholarship, and go on to get a Master’s degree. Why is this? Because in the urban music subculture, this kind of story doesn’t sell CDs.

“and seriously your demographic dosent count, no one cares about your dislikes or likes.”

And yet, you chose to write a short rant against people who were mocking him. If you don’t care about what we think, don’t comment to us lol!

“You think his music is negative, how about the terminator whose a governor how is that any different.”

“Ahnuld” is a politician. Fiddy is a rapper. 2 different things. Not that it matters, because all politicians suck and so do their kool-aid drinking admirers, regardless of party.

    @Tenshie Vielle

They’d be nowhere without their producers and marketeers. they’d be absolutely NOTHING.

Also: shot nine times? What does he do, hang around the wrong end of the shooting range? Being shot doesn’t make one ‘tough’ but it does prove you’re an idiot.

Good point. Why is it that being shot gives someone “street cred” anyway? Real street smarts are actually more likely to keep a person from being shot in the first place.
