Glamis Decosta — Post 6 Guy

[Note from Justine: I decided it was time to take a break from the Post 6 list for a couple of weeks and get a little variety in the mix. As soon as I thought we should feature a Post 6 Guy, I spotted Glamis Decosta and was very happy he said he'd pose].

When Justine approached me about modeling for the second life herald, I was excited at the opportunity.  When it comes to fashion, I’m pretty clueless.  Luckily I’ve met some great ladies in SL who have helped mold me into what I am today.  Being a guy, I’m already at a disadvantage because we’re dealing with a much more limited selection than the girls.  My inventory is mostly free stuff, but I’ve spent a few lindens on a few things that were for the most part worth it.  Lately I’ve been hanging out at a couple of clothing optional or not-allowed places, which is nice because I don’t have to figure out what to wear–and you know guys we’d rather be naked anyways!

So what do I do in SL for fun?  Mostly meet new people!  I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, although being on the west coast is tough because most people are up late by the time I get online in the evenings.  Live entertainment is fun, and theme parties are always a hit (especially when you win contests).  I do have a RL–when it’s slow I’m online more–and it’s hectic I’m online less.  So I’ve drifted in and out of friendships as I come back and find my old friends no longer come online (or maybe they’re just blocking me–you never know for sure).

It’s unfortunate that my social skills in SL don’t really help me meet women in RL.  It’s much easier to break the ice when you TP in someplace and land on somebody’s head–because that’s always a conversation starter.  Now that I’m a model maybe that will help.  "So what do you do?" "I’m a model.  My abs don’t look like much now, but you should see them in Second Life."  I dunno–I should probably keep that to myself.  Although now that I’m an SL model I’m looking forward to hanging out with other models and the rich and famous of SL.  I feel bad for all my old friends, but I don’t think I should probably be seen hanging out with them anymore.  It’s all about my image now.  LOL (jk friends!)

My new favorite places to hang out (literally) are Bare Naked Dancing, Dozer (28,18,37) and the Naturalist Resort (110,238,21).  Better hope this naturalist thing doesn’t catch on, or there will be a lot of out of work clothing designers!

lol @ the distorted abs that magically stop at a arbitrary vertical line next to skin that looks like it came off my grandma

also, the avatar’s lower abdomen is like 2/3x the size of a normal persons, and the belly button is almost halfway up the chest, that’s one hell of an intestinal tract

interesting, at least theres some variety, not everyone in SL is a big titted woman who enjoys shopping

You need a new skin, son. That one is ridiculously overdetailed in the torso, yet almost a blank cartoon above the neck. I recommend spending a few linden if you do wish to be a model, and getting something decent – try RaC or Minnu. Kudos on the bravery though.

Finally! I smelled yet another incident of gender discrimination – so finally we guys get equal rights too.

Once again I must defend common sense in SL. Models are the most pointless, useless
job in SL if you make clothing, like I do, buy your own freaking skin and shape! why do people hire these clowns
in a world where you can look like any thing or any one. It’s selling freezers to Eskimos!

Many so-called SL models do not realize they are simply cheap labor for their designers. Designers will hold “competitions” to “select the best models” when in reality, the designer is looking for people that are willing to spend ALOT of time organizing the company’s events…usually for free.

Models are a waste of grid space. They contribute about the same amount value that escorts do to SL: zero.

:) Cute. But I wish he had kept his briefs on, chipolatas are not sexy.

Way to go Glam! Stand strong, nude and proud in the face of all the haters! :)

I love how this has turned into MST3K of avatars. I can’t wait for my turn! :D

A little over the top on the squared jaw line. Gives the term “block head” whole new meaning.

Maybe it’s cultural; maybe it’s biological, but for some odd reason, naked women are sublime and naked men are ridiculous. Full props to Glamis for his satirical parody of sexual objectification and his willingness to play the “mimbo” (male bimbo).

However, I hope that flaccid fire hoses or limp love pumps don’t become a regular feature of the Herald. Call me sexist if you wish but I’m pretty sure that even the ladies out there will agree that there is a reason why another synonym for the penis is “giggle stick.”

Well I think he’s cute! And so glad to see a male Post 6 finally. Loving that playground. I’d hit it!…er…my little avi chicky would hit it!

Hey, what are you complaining about? He look good! I love that he’s made his shape almost natural, no wasp waist. And I want to play with that chest hair! Fine shape and some body hair, not to mention realistic sized penis – that makes him stand out among all the slick Ken’s. If i give a guy a blowjob and his penis pokes out of the back of my head…(Yuck) I think the popularity of big 80′s hair on females in SL is an effort to hide that male insecurity. Maybe I could find some things on this guy to complain about, or maybe it’s just the pose. Come closer for an inspection…

Why do so many mens shirts have the front open down almost to the waist? is there something wrong with a nice polo shirt or buttoned casual shirt?

Decent mens clothes are so damn hard to find ! I thank those few decent mens clothes designers out there … Blaze and SSH (Style Starts Here) in particular

I remember Playgirl magazine, 1986 when Steve Rally was the centerfold. That boy didn’t have a flaccid firehose at all. It was all tryin’ to poke my eye out and everything! This gentleman’s wiener looks like the pinky of a gay aristocrat!
