Emerald Flack Arabella Steadham: “I Don’t Lie”

by Pixeleen Mistral on 21/08/10 at 8:05 pm

Protip: killing reporters makes you look bad

On my first visit to Emerald Point Friday night, I was killed by an unknown assailant within a minute of sitting down with the Emerald developers. I had dropped by hoping for comments from Emerald gang spokeswoman Arabella Steadham, and was pleased to see also in attendance several of the controversial developers – part of a group that many believe are distributing a malware-infested Second Life viewer.

Death is a routine part of reporting on the metaverse, so after I suddenly died and was returned to my home sim, I introducing myself again to Arabella via IM, and gingerly returned to the sim a few minutes later.

During the second visit, Arabella assured me that Emerald users are unlikely to be concerned by allegation that the client has been used for an attempted DDOS attack on an enemy web site — because she does not lie. Arabella’s claim seemed a bit broad – and Urizenus is never around when I need help with parsing these sorts of statements – so I filed this for later research.

Sadly, our 3 minute conversation ended abruptly when I was killed, so I suggested Arabella calm the excitable players for a few minutes. On my return I received assurances I would not be bounced from the sim again. On this visit, I learned that the Emerald gang does not consider silently turning their users’ computers into botnet for mass downloads from a target web site to be a denial of service attack – because the web site did not crash. This was good to know, but raised further questions.

What would their position have been if Hazim Gazov’s iheartanime.com site had been taken offline – or run up a huge bill? We are unlikely to ever know, because mentioning many web sites pay for fixed amounts of bandwidth seemed to touch a nerve, and I was killed for the third time. Whatever weapon the Emerald gang was using on me did not leave a trace, so it was difficult to know who was playing reporter-killer last night. This was convenient – whenever hard questions came up, I went missing and there was nobody specific to blame.

Could this lack of accountability be a common theme within the Emerald group – and the cause of some of their recent problems? If so, it will be interesting to see how long former Lab staffers Data Linden and Qarl Linden will last in the Emerald gang. On the other hand, Linden Lab’s lack of accountability for destructive actions has been a constant theme for my entire Second Life, so the ex-Lab staff may feel right at home.

ms 6
the start of a 3 minute conversation which ends with a killing

Pixeleen Mistral: I’m sure you are busy
Pixeleen Mistral: but perhaps we ccan talk?
Arabella Steadham: not awfully flat out
Arabella Steadham: whats up
Pixeleen Mistral: well I was wondering about the shenanigans post you had
Pixeleen Mistral: what led up to that?
Arabella Steadham: as you can see by the blog post, it is a general apology to our users
Arabella Steadham: theres really not a lot more to be said
Pixeleen Mistral: Arabella – do you think they will believe it?
Arabella Steadham: I don’t lie
Pixeleen Mistral: I wonder if I can believe that statement
Arabella Steadham: well that is your choice
Pixeleen Mistral: so color me skeptical
Arabella Steadham: I’m sure there are many more salacious things you would prefer to believe
Arabella Steadham: or post
Jessica Lyon: it is a genuine apology, we hope people will see it as what it is.

At this point I am killed again, and find myself back at my home sim. Perhaps we can discuss this in person – if she can get those crazy kids to put the guns away for a few minutes – so we talk via IM:

Pixeleen Mistral: you know – you guys can keep killing me and I’ll report that
Pixeleen Mistral: or you can talk - its totally up to you
Pixeleen Mistral: maybe you want to calm those guys down
Pixeleen Mistral: I am up for about one more killing
Pixeleen Mistral: so I’ll give you a few minutes to get your boys to chill
Pixeleen Mistral: protip: killing reporters makes you look bad
Arabella Steadham: I don’t know who did that
Pixeleen Mistral: probably someone who has something to hide
Pixeleen Mistral: get those guys to chill out. I’ll be back in 5

If Arabella’s apology to the Emerald users is to be credible, she should be able to exercise at least some minimal control over the Emerald developers. Unfortunately, I soon learn that Arabella can’t get them to stop killing me – can really believe the her when she assures Emerald users that all is well?

Time passes and I return again to Emerald Point. Jessica Lyon assures me that I’ll be safe – and I am, right up until I ask if burning through another site’s bandwidth is fair play in the Second Life third party viewer wars.

Pixeleen Mistral: ok, let’s try one more time
Arabella Steadham: there’s really not a lot more to say
Jessica Lyon: Not sure who ejected you, but it won’t happen again today.
Jessica Lyon: How can we help you
Pixeleen Mistral: well, I have some questions. I write for the Alphaville Herald
Pixeleen Mistral: perhaps you have heard of it
Jessica Lyon: yes, we know
Pixeleen Mistral: from what I gather Hazim Gazov’s iheartanime web sites was DDOSed by the Emerald login page
Arabella Steadham: that is incorrect
Pixeleen Mistral: ok, so what happened?
Arabella Steadham: you can read the correct interpretation on the MS blog
Pixeleen Mistral: I read that – but it confused me
Arabella Steadham: thats a pity
Arabella Steadham: It was quite clear to many of our users
Pixeleen Mistral: can you help me understand how putting 32 hidden iframes in your login page which render to a 1 x 1 pixel square is all in good fun?
Pixeleen Mistral: because its a little hard to believe that this was an accidental goof
Pixeleen Mistral: but maybe I am confused
Arabella Steadham: I think your information is incorrect
Pixeleen Mistral: well I did look at the google cache for the page
Pixeleen Mistral: and I did see the iframes at the bottom that all point to iheartanime.com
Pixeleen Mistral: what is incorrect in that?
Arabella Steadham: then you have no need to ask me about it
Arabella Steadham: if you already feel you know everything
Arabella Steadham: I’m sorry I can’t really tell you a lot more Pixeleen
Pixeleen Mistral: I am asking you because I want to know what you think
Arabella Steadham: theres not a lot more to tell
Arabella Steadham: I think I have written an apology to our users, which I felt more important than anything else
Pixeleen Mistral: really?

ms 4
Skills and Phox chill out – and reload

Jessica Lyon: I think what she is trying to say Pixeleen is that regardless of what she tells you, you will inevitably twist it in such a way as to generate the most controversial angle possible
Pixeleen Mistral: what about the owner of the iheartanime.com web site?
Pixeleen Mistral: does he get an apology too?
Arabella Steadham: what about him
Jessica Lyon: We made a public apology to our users, it is a genuine apology. We hope our users will take it as what it is.
Arabella Steadham: My concern is our users
Arabella Steadham: as I have said
Arabella Steadham: my concern is not for creators of malicious viewers
Pixeleen Mistral: but the web site that you ran the DDOS against – that is not your concern?
Arabella Steadham: there was no DDoS
Arabella Steadham: you know this
Pixeleen Mistral: true – it failed
Arabella Steadham: there was no DDoS
Arabella Steadham: bottom line
Jessica Lyon: the iheartanime website suffered no down time as far as I am aware.
Jessica Lyon: surely, you must realise if a ddos attempt was truly made.. there would have been downtime right?
Arabella Steadham: excuse me one moment please, I will be back in 2 minutes
Pixeleen Mistral: so its OK for other sites to do the same thing to modular systems?
Arabella Steadham: (door)
Pixeleen Mistral waits
Tyken Hightower: Back!
Tyken Hightower: Oh god, Pixeleen is here?
Tyken Hightower: Why?
Jessica Lyon: There was no damage done. The website in question suffered no downtime or lag. Thus if someone wanted to do the same to our website providing it was done the same way, there would be no difference?
Pixeleen Mistral: I have heard that some websites pay based on bandwidth consumed

At this point I am killed again, so the interviews will have to conclude via IM from a safe distance.

ms 1
Fractured Crystal is missing – was he grounded for DDOSing?

Jessica Lyon: did you get ejected?
Pixeleen Mistral: why do you keep killing reporters?
Jessica Lyon: I did not, I’m asking if you were ejected.
Jessica Lyon: and by whom.
Pixeleen Mistral: this is the third time and that is my limit
Pixeleen Mistral: no way I can say this is an accident
Pixeleen Mistral: [17:57] Jessica Lyon: There was no damage done. The website in question suffered no downtime or lag. Thus if someone wanted to do the same to our website providing it was done the same way, there would be no difference?
[17:58] Pixeleen Mistral: I have heard that some websites pay based on bandwidth consumed

Pixeleen Mistral: what is your response to my question?
Pixeleen Mistral: besides killing me again
Jessica Lyon: the answer was, perhaps some do. However iheartanime does not afaik.
Pixeleen Mistral: thank you

Pixeleen Mistral: ok Arabella your guys killed me again
Arabella Steadham: I was away when you disappeared so I do not know. As it is, I feel everything has been said
Pixeleen Mistral: thank you for your time and I wish you luck in your future endeavors

The Emerald team is showing their true griefing colors. Yes I find it a little suspicious that every time Pixleen asked a question that they didn’t want to answer, they shot her and sent her home.

HELLO PHILLIP!!!! are you reading these blogs? Time to step up and do something about this. How can you say you are concerned about your customers if you allow a Viewer like this or the Emerald team to access Second Life?

The antics that this team has been up to (I.E. C.D.S.) also involves data mining people who do not care to use the emerald viewer. This throws the ” use a TPV at your own risk” way of thinking out the door.

Second life has already been through a situation once that allowed people like the emerald team to obtain users credit card information in the past.

This type of behavior by the emerald team is hardly ” Fast, easy, and fun” for your customers.

Time to step up Phillip and put something behind your words besides hot air.

This wasn’t a DDoS more than an attempt to run up the cost of Hazim’s website. This is an antic that has been done countless times on other websites from people around the world. Completely unoriginal.

What I don’t understand is how 16Million+ hits on a webpage could be a mere “accident”. They keep claiming it wasn’t a DDoS (which is true) but they aren’t saying exactly what it is, thus they’re hiding something. Using someone’s bandwidth while they are unknowingly adding several hits to a webpage isn’t exactly what I’d call professional. It seems the Emerald team is becoming more and more shady about things. From the backgrounds of people like Jcool410 (Fractured Crystal) and Phox (Lonely Bluebird, Phox Modularsystems), the use of the EMKDU, and countless other antics that they’ve been involved with (Datamining, etc.) it’s surprising that many people haven’t questioned the intentions of the team as a whole.

tl;dr: Jcool needs to get off of his highchair and get banned already.

    ROFLMAO… Best… Reaction… EVAR!!!

Jessica Lyon is lying her ass off. Why won’t anybody from LL wipe these guys off the grid once and for all like they deserve?

One claim I would have liked to see her try to support is that Inertia is a malicious viewer. Inertia is not malicious. It makes it possible for people to develop things on their own private grids and import them into SL. What is malicious about that?

The only thing iheartanime.com was malicious towards was Emerald’s data mining and hidden malware-injection techniques. Hazim was defending us from them.

This gets better every day. Mobsters on the loose! :D

I wonder what their next PR-coup will be.
An attempt to nuke Phillip Linden as proof they would never intend any kind of grief?
Or maybe they’ll send a heap of dog poop to every user who is still with them, to make sure they “stick” with them? (Probably with a notecard, reading “nothing we ever do stinks!”)

By the way: Can someone tell me (but not Arabella, please!) if it’s still safe to visit their blog, or do you catch a drive by virus when you go there now?

Interesting… Killed on no-damage land? Sounds to me like somebody over there was able to grab Pix’s IP, spoof themselves to look like they were the sim, and then send over a few client directives. I’m surprised they didn’t drain her $L balance while they were at it!

Gee whiz batman, the general population of SL (not OpenSim since Emerald broke compatibility with OS long ago) is supposed to trust these guys? Now there’s your bull shit right there!

  7. Bubblesort Triskaidekaphobia

    Aug 21st, 2010

@Orion: I highly doubt that is what happened. They probably kicked her with admin rights, or turned damage on just long enough to kill her. It’s crude, but it works. Why does everybody think that grabbing somebody’s IP is the only way to do bad things?

  8. Orion

    Aug 21st, 2010

@Bubblesort – Well gee, with Skills Hax standing right there what else am I supposed to think? The whole group of them seem to have this vigilanti mindset that is based around the concept of bypassing the security tools provided by the service provider.

Its already been proven that both cds and emerald have the ability to easily harvest a user’s IP from their client. What’s to stop them from simply spoofing the server and sending commands directly to the user’s client?

Because the DDOS attack failed does not mean they didn’t attempt it. That is like saying a person who attempted to rob a bank but failed is not a bank robber because they did not succeed.

I hope that hazim has reported this illegal action to the authorities.
Without that, LL will just hide their heads in the protecting sands of ” we are not responsible for another users actions.” like an ostrich, and not do anything about this.

I wanted to make it abundantly clear, because Lindens don’t typically post comments on these boards to tell you guys what’s going on, that the Lindens have gotten word of this attack and are deliberating both removing Emerald from the TPV list and officially blocking it from accessing the Second Life main grid. The only roadblock is the fact that a huge chunk of clients currently use Emerald and they don’t want any problems with thousands of people submitting tickets and whatnot asking why they can’t connect. Phillip was the one who pointed it out and is pushing for the ban, so give him some love.

In other news, the Emerald blog post is still aflame with Emerald fanboys and sympathizers that don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground. Here are some gems, for those who are too lazy to read through them:

“ahahahah! let em have it! I don’t mind contributing my bandwidth LOL”

“yay for Emerald – keep up the good work!!!”

“Meh. I’m sticking to emerald until something makes emerald somehow less than the best viewer available.”

“I love Emerald and nothing will stop me using it, but a lot of people don’t even try it because they are wary of TPVs. This sort of stunt won’t do much to change their minds. Please, guys, just concentrate on making the best viewer evah even greater. Emerald rocks!”

“You know….I use Emerald for absolutely free and to all those people moaning about how Emerald are treating their customers blah blah…we ain’t customers…we get this for free. I love Emerald and I am so glad people made me use it. I am so happy and something minor as this will not sway me away.”

“I’m not a hater against LL , by no means. But how often do you see LL putting out a blog post, admitting and apologizing for a mistake? I think the E-Dev Team should be commended for their open communication. That being said, I’m gonna use Emerald to the day they stop developing this good stuff.. ROCK ON EMERALD!”

“Emerald ROCKS! At least 1/2 of all the viewers I *see* are emerald, and the rest are … well … the rest! I tell everyone to use Emerald and will continue to do so ;o} Keep up the great work!”

“no matter what happens to emerald, i’ll always be a loyal user”

Really makes me sick. I also find it funny that half the posts involve “Emerald ROCKS!” or some derivative of it… I’d be willing to bet there are some samefags in there.

Does anybody suspect Quarl or Data of being involved with this directly? I mean, they were recently laid off, so making LL look bad would be a goal for a disgruntled ex-employee, or contractor, as the case may be.

I don’t recall LL ever trying to DDoS someone. I swear tooth and nail defenders of Emerald and v2 are some of the most intellectually devoid people on this planet. However this comment couldn’t be more wrong. I was at SLCC 2007 and the first thing that came out of Phillip’s mouth during his keynote was an apology for bugs. Either way, bigs aren’t exactly as big as DDoSing a website nor is it deliberate.

Emerald violates the TPV directory’s terms and needs to be removed and weeded out. If people still like Emerald then someone needs to make a fork but not one by anyone who is involved with Modular Systems now. Until then there is always Imprudence.

Wow that was exceedingly pathetic, even for the Emerald team.

I can’t believe they’re still backing this “It wasn’t a DDoS attack” thing, when there’s really no way it could be anything else. Just because it didn’t WORK doesn’t mean it’s not a DDoS.

We’ll see what happens on Monday, if LL does anything less than delist Emerald from the TPV registry, then we’ll know that they don’t care about enforcing their own rules.

yet, woodbury just had to go, didnt it. Truly evil and awful people, how dare they have a sim? they’re evil people. even though they havent actually done anything malicious.

yet not too many people seem to mind these people, who are actually trying to get info about people outside SL, hack, exploit, and use every crooked and evil trick in the book, and have been doing so for ages, and now people are only starting to go “oh hey look these guys dont seem very nice now.”

SL and its users are a complete joke, and proves more that the masses are sheep.

Well All I can say is I see Griefers in Second Life constantly 24/7 griefing.

I don’t really trust what Emerald has said, and I think Linden Lab needs to fix the asset key issues, where anyone can pull up a key and use it. I also think they need to restrict all viewers to Second Life Client, or Second Life 2.0 Only connecting to their servers. Real Restrictions so no other client works period, this is the only way to prevent griefing and theft.

The Emerald Team, while their members may be years old from 2007, or 2008. I know a group of copybotters who have been stealing asset uuid, and make false skins using original creator assets. The groups are Sisters OF Hura, lead by Smiggles Decuir, which has constantly moved around from Region to Region in GOR Copybotting hundreds of creators products, they even Violated my Intellectual Property by copying my entire avatar right in front of my eyes including other creators content, and wearing it. This group has moved to 3 sims since Late 2009/2010. Doomed Isle, where Zammy Ziskey banned me, and their SL Hubby/Sister Johanna Lagerlof help support the thefts that they did for a long time before kicking them out, and then Smiggles Decuir, Her groups, all her allies left to Jungles OF Schendi where they constantly committed Intellectual Property theft on a lot of merchants I know, and have shop with for over a year. The Owners Ali Akami, and her sisters helped support the thefts, and they have been here since like 2007. Now their group has moved to Port COS, a big major sim, which Smiggles Decuir has control over some of their rights, and her, and her group members/friends will continue to commit intellectual property thefts, stealing Original asset UUID’s from skin creators, Textures, and distributing them between sisters and such.

So from all this griefing I have seen with the Emerald Team, with members who have been here since 2007, and you honestly ask me if I can trust Emerald, I would have to say no. Because I at one point was a part of Smiggles Decuirs Copybotting group, and I trusted her so much, I Loved her, but that all changed once I found out the truth, and they banned me for this from every region they make management from.

I believe that Linden Lab needs to do the following before it is too late, This is sad and it kills our SL Community.

    1. Remove Emerald, & Systems Like CDS.
    2. Allow Only Second Life Developed by Linden Lab.
    3. Remove All Copybotters who have been doing this for years.

I know there will be a constant fight between Griefers, and illegal people like the Emerald Team, but Hopefully in the end we will win it. I just hope that other Sim Owners do not allow people to abuse other residents in Second Life, and Commit content theft on their regions. If More sim owners took more responsibility for their residents actions, Copybot, and other illegal stuff would not be so hard.

I believe that what Emerald Team have done is really pathetic, and lame excuses to (CYOA) Cover Your Own ASS after their mistakes.
I also do not believe that any one of their members is experiences enough to develop a client on their own.

Also Just because you have been a member of Second Life since 2006, or 2007 it does not mean that they are not a copybot, a griefer, or a hacker.

Okay First off, Pixeleen Mistral going into a damage enabled sim and not expecting to get slaughtered is stupid, Secondly ‘I’ Dont lie, No, Seriously i dont, I hate Liars, i hate thieves, I hate Money Grubbing Politicians, and i hate people…

Well i just hate people in general, Take a good look at what was and was not said, Stop being a bunch of fucking morons, Would you not get a bit tight lipped, or pissy with someone who said:

Pixeleen Mistral: I wonder if I can believe that statement
Arabella Steadham: well that is your choice
Pixeleen Mistral: so color me skeptical
Arabella Steadham: I’m sure there are many more salacious things you would prefer to believe
    Arabella Steadham: or post

**If she had Implied me a liar, Id’e have just Banned her ass on the spot, I take that as Highly offensive, I have been Raised to carry out my word, and thats the end of that Sorry if I dont fit into 97% of the human population.**

    Secondly::

At this point I am killed again, and find myself back at my home sim. Perhaps we can discuss this in person – if she can get those crazy kids to put the guns away for a few minutes – so we talk via IM:

**Again Keep in mind she is in a DAMAGE ENABLED SIM ‘SHE’-Chose to go there, Thats the risk.**

Pixeleen Mistral: you know – you guys can keep killing me and I’ll report that

**OH GOD THERE KILLING ME IN A DAMAGE ENABLED SIM!

Unfortunately, I soon learn that Arabella can’t get them to stop killing me – can really believe the her when she assures Emerald users that all is well?

**Okay First off, She is her own Person She can ask, or even insist the others stop doing what they are doing, However, given Pix’s Comments so far not to mention her Reputation– You know.. Media and how they like to Make a huge deal out of everything, sometimes creating conspiracy theories. Why the hell would she? Id’e have let them have at it…. If she wasnt already banned like i said above. She has no real control over the developers, Last i checked, each person was responsible for there own actions.**

    Thirdly::

Pixeleen Mistral: ok, let’s try one more time
Arabella Steadham: there’s really not a lot more to say
Jessica Lyon: Not sure who ejected you, but it won’t happen again today.

**Okay really? Again with the Media thing, if you cant see through this, the obviousness of it, Kill yourself now, No.. Seriously I dont want my children growing up and following the heard of sheep**

    ……………

I am done, if you cant read the above and NOT spot the bullshit, the OBVIOUS bullshit *coughtrolling* Get bent get fucked, Go fly a kite, row a boat, Get help.. Whatever you have to do but seriously, Even IF these assumptions are correct, Pix is -Way- out of line, WAY out of line.. I could continue, i gould go point-per-point on each one and every little thing, But then id’e be typing 4-6 Paragraphs after nearly every Sentance.

Seriously, if you want to see the Emerald Team’s true colors..hang out in the Weapons Testing Sandbox. They are regularly there griefing people. Much of the time, they’ve bragged how the Lindens are fully in their corner and will let them do whatever they want.

Ontop of this, Jessica Lyon has mentioned to a person where they lived when confronting them. (In the same breath, she said she could get away with crashing sims and that this person was uncreative in doing it.) She also mentioned she had the ability to track this person’s IP..mentioned where he lived, and whom lived with him.

This was in 09. Its mid-2010 now. All it is, is a regular self-yiffing group that routinely backstabs itself and sucks up to LL. They’re a little ticked at the moment as many of their backing Lindens got cut. Poor babies. Jessica’s Lyon Hud has sent missiles all over the place..and many a time her and Tetsu Palen spammed the sim with missiles..or harassed others simply out of boredom.

They know what they’re doing is wrong. They have known. They just think and feel that they can do as they please, and no one is going to stop them. Sucks to be them.

Did LL not approve this viewer for the TPV list, or was this stuff added in after the fact?

  34. Bubblesort Triskaidekaphobia

    Aug 22nd, 2010

@ Maven: It was added after the fact. The question now is whether LL will let Emerald stay on their TPV directory or not. If they let it stay then they are blessing this kind of illegal behavior.

@ Yemmer: “i gould go point-per-point on each one and every little thing”

Please don’t. Also, use this: http://orangoo.com/spellcheck/

    @Yemmer

You won’t go point by point because if you did you’d understand what Pix was getting at. I’m sure you did read the whole thing but your comprehension skills are dismal.

Also this is triple the insult coming from me but, learn2/spell.

You know who else killed reporters?

    …Hitler.

    @Charity & Bubblesort

They call them “Grammar Nazis” for a reason.

So this girl walks into a sim…stop me if you’ve heard this one.

Pixeleen says she’s a reporter in a virtual world for a virtual publication, insults the woman she’s interviewing several times, questions an official apology about an incident that’s been explained to probably hundreds, if not thousands, of people already…and then gets upset that she’s ejected? From a private area? And threatens to have them AR’d? Honestly, what right does Pixeleen have??? These folks are no more obligated to speak to a virtual “reporter” than anyone else.

    Seriously?

Can I say that I’m a gynecologist and get all the pretty ladies to move to the right and form a line? Ugly ladies and men pretending to be ladies to the left…right out that door. Yes, yeeeees…

That being said, bad Emerald. Bad, bad Emerald!!! What you did was bad…but if you say you’ve removed the code I’ll upgrade to your newest release. You know why? Because Viewer2 reminds me of a clunky Playskool toy.

    @Brahm Streete

Hey retard, she didn’t threaten to AR them, she threated to REPORT it because she is (hold on your sock for this) a REPORTER. She did report it, and we all read it. Words can have multiple meanings, yanno?

    @Glenn Beck

You were cooler before you quit drinking. I have some Sam Adams for you next time you come over. ;o

Nurr! You said retard! Immature, at best. Regardless of who this Pixeleen is, there is no one obligated to speak with her. Especially in the face of her rudeness.

Let me question your integrity and your motives and see how nice you are about it. Face it. Pixeleen went in there with an attitude.

Well I dont see any evidence of Pixel doing anything wrong.

If this person is doing any type of harassment in world, each individual has to do the following.

    1. Let the person know in IM that it is unwelcome.
    2. Mute the Person.
    3. Ban from Region.

    4. Any outside or OFF Second Life Forums, and Outside of Second Life disclosure, Logs, ect. Linden Lab does not control.

    5. I dont believe, or trust emerald, this has happend way too much, something is obviously going on, IF the emerald team wants my support, or trust, they are going to have to start the following.

    1. All Emerald Team mebers are to stop helping skills hak with their CDS Project, as Emerald developers/team said CDS was not their project it was a lie.
    2. They are going to have to start making all their projects 100% Legal, no more Onyx Bots scanning keys, or thigns that could be used to commit theft, or do harm, using Viewers as a copybot code.
    3. No more Mistakes like they have made already.
    4. Make the Emerald Client Better, and 100% Clean, all Emerald Team Members are to hold up to the standards of U.S Laws, and SL TOS, and if they dont they are to be removed from the group and project. (CDS) Violates international Laws, Logs IP, and is abused by emerald Members.
    5. Over 80% of all copybots I have seen are made off the Emerald Source The public Bots, Excludes SLPE, or Chocolate Viewer.

This is the only way I would trust Emerald again, but they are not going to take security seriously or anything until something much worse happens to those using the client.

I bet I myself am on their ban list, or would be banned just because of my Hate and Distrust in emerald if I even went to their Sandbox, which I have only been to once or twice in like 2 years. Even If I did not disturb the peace.

the fact they admit the code was there and now everything is honkey-dory because it’s gone is an admission to guilt.

They admitted to doing it, and dont see it as an issue.

Typical furry logic. “It’s okay if WE do it, because we’re special because we fuck dogs, and man oh man the lindens wouldnt dare mess with us because we’re cute cuddly forest animals who dress like faggots and suck dog dicks”

  42. SweetAlabama

    Aug 22nd, 2010

    @At0m0

I find your logic fuzzy at best

Fractured Krystal was the wrong-doer last I checked and he is a shadow figure with a tail, meaning he is a neko wanna-bee at best.

You reaction stinks of OMGWTFFURRIESTHEYMUSTBEATTHEROOTOFALLEVEEL!!!! grow up and come up with a more logical argument.

Arabella has a human avie and she is in so much denial over the culpability of fractured and the rests’ inability to stop fractured from doing dumb shit that puts the whole teams reputation in question it almost makes you feel sorry for her. The Cat is out of the bag Arabella, your voice has spoken quite clearly as evidence – see you tube vids – and your not a very good leader.

I do not care what avie you use, if your gonna point fingers, point it for the right reason, not prejudices and hearsay.

As a long time Emerald fan and admitted addict –

I hope they get their TPV status pulled immediately.

Today I uninstalled Emerald from my comp.

Even if all of the bullshit they have done thus far was harmless, I don’t need the worry about what they will do in the future.

If their credibility and reputation wasn’t in the toilet after the DDOS attack, it is now after seeing their lack of maturity towards a reporter.

it was a chance for them to do some damage control and instead they just damaged themselves further. And Arabella is considered their PR person?

Perhaps we can keep the teen grid open and put the Emerald Dev team there until they can grow up.

As it stands right now, LL should in no way trust them with their customers & their privacy.

Well, no. being that you’re basically a nobody. Your opinions are unvalued in SL and you aren’t (to my knowledge) affiliated with any press. Now if I got my hand caught in the proverbial cookie jar and Pix came to ask for my side of the story, I’d shape the fuck up and explain my actions not greif her.

Also I merely called you a retard due to your stated ignorance on the subject and your lack of restraint in commenting on things you don’t understand. I think I’m well justified in my ad-hom, tyvm.

Now go back to your jiggly pixeltit sex because we both know what this is all about.

Interesting that that “confession” was pulled in five minutes from it posting. A good forgery or more likely Modular’s hierarchy covering their own asses. The law dogs may be barking at their doors (borrowing the vernacular from the Pappy crowd).

Hahahaha! I LOVE it! I love the fact that you’re calling me a nobody, and saying that my opinions are unvalued. Because, really, who are YOU? Darlin, you mean nothing in my life.

What I do find amazing is that because my opinion differs from yours you’ve resorted to name calling and childish pap. Your opinion of yourself is over-inflated, and that fact that you’ve reduced yourself so quickly proves your immaturity.

Enjoy your pixel life darlin. Remember, it’s just a game. *winks*
