Do the Prokonova – SL’s Next Dance Craze?

by Pixeleen Mistral on 25/02/11 at 12:55 pm

Chantal Harvey and Phaylen Fairchild broke out the chroma key – and busted some moves – in an instant classic YouTube response to serial google bomber and internet bully Prokofy Neva’s recent whinescraper.

The video’s credits detail the gestures that make up Chantal and Phaylen’s dance routine, including Funnyfarm, Do you take it in the A, attention, and Overload – a capsule summary of common reactions to Prokofy prose. A Wordle summary of Prok’s lengthy diatribe forms the backdrop for the video and slyly suggests that it might be time to give the word smarmy a rest.

Is this the beginning of a new trend in the metaverse media landscape blending song, dance, and not-so-veiled messages? More importantly, will Prokofy accept the implicit challenge from Chantal and Phaylen to create the next great music video dance?

Well, the dance is crazed, generally incoherent, rambling, contorted, filled with huge flights of fancy and brief glimpses of something worthwhile. In other words, spot on.

I presented the machinima to Prokofy Neva, via im in Second Life, and he was overjoyed, understandably.

A brilliant video, and it gives its subject matter every bit of the respect it deserves.

The wordles were missing some key prokanisms like “eddie haskelling”, “tekkie wikinistas”, “techno-communists”, “leninist conspirators” that detracted from the authentic prok parody experience.

    Pappy,
You’re right. I also forgot “mangina”, “e-rapist”, and “griefer enabler”. Prok, she got a real way with words, doesnt she? Personally I think she just invents new terms like this in hopes that one day she will be mentioned in the OED.

We needs to publish us a “Proktionary” of all that-there kolurful phraseology that s/he flings about like a monkey tossin’ its poop.

I’d steal me a copy if’n it came to my local Barns M Noble shop.

Don’t forget, “mangina” is always preceded with “vicious little”.

I’d click through on ‘whinescraper’ but resist giving her the page views.
