Cross-MMORPG Currency Exchange Opens

For a long time Squirrel and I have talked about the possibility of a currency exchange that would trade between MMORPGs, for example simoleans for Therebucks. It looks like that idea has become a reality. The Gaming Open Market has opened its doors to cross-world currency exchanges. This is such a great idea, IMHO, and kudos to the guys who are trying to make it happen. The utility of this should be clear. Suppose I get bored with TSO and decide to spend more time in There. This allows me to transfer my simoleans into Therebucks and land on the ground running in There. The currencies currently traded are from UO gold, TSO simoleans, and There therebucks. They promise a market in EQ platinum pieces, DAoC gold, and SWG credits soon. Even if you don’t want to trade, this is definitely a site to bookmark and watch!
