Trinity Dechou — Post 6 Grrrl
by Alphaville Herald on 11/08/08 at 7:36 am
The location Trinity Dechou suggested for our photo shoot was a perfect choice. The Channel Island Asylum is not only an excellent build but also provided the perfect atmosphere for a photo shoot with a woman like Trinity, smart and confident with a mean black humor. I instantly liked her avi, which is more athletic than the usual 5%-muscles shape the average SL super model has. Trinity is another great example that being feminine doesn’t mean to follow the Malibu Barbie stereotype. â Bunny Brickworks
Oh here comes Trinity and she is fully aware that snapping at the heels with the name comes the matrix connotations; I of course have heard them all. Actually out of interest I used the name Trinity online long before a certain PVC clad Carrie Ann Moss came along, having said this adopting her look at times can be entertaining.
So whilst standing here exposed on the Post 6 podium for 15 minutes I will make an admission. In SecondLife I am very aware of my vanity. I have a shape that took me a long time to feel at home with. Why do I look the way I do? Well I wanted to be a fuller shaped, yet fit woman. I never as a child played with Barbie and I most certainly don’t want to play with her in my SecondLife. While I do love the NPIRL thesis I don’t like to apply it to my body shape, with larger breasts gravity *does* happen.
I spent a long proportion of my early existence working in a club called The Lava Pit with a signature Mohawk attached to my head and tattooed with piercings which were bred from a loathing of watching the entrance as long haired, large breasted blondes walked in.
Over my nearly 2-year existence in Second Life my look and my purpose has changed. I have done work as a club admin, estate manager and as a builder. I did however finally find purpose in writing. When my SL & RL partner suddenly passed away I found the only thing I could totally submerse myself in was writing. I joined one of the widely read newspapers in Second Life and explored a talent I had never explored in real life. During the time as RL was crazily manic SL managed to provide me a stable platform to explore, spend time with friends and of course write. SecondLife for a long time was very safe for me when nothing else was.
From the newspaper and coupled with a good long term SL friend we started an independent second life magazine called Rez. Rez gives me an environment to explore writing, interview techniques and researching; things I would never attempt in RL. Using RL business skills I am also in the process of setting up a business development company, which aims to help people grow their SecondLife businesses.
With the changes to my purpose in SecondLife the clothing I wore changed also. Favourite designers used to include DE Designs, Lapointe & GothiCatz, now these have altered slightly to include Last Call/ Archange and Blaze. The piercings started to fade out and only occasionally make a small come back. The tattoos remain however are not as heavily inked as they were in the past. I can’t abide shopping in RL however I find myself more than able to shop till I drop in SecondLife, from the elegant couture at Last Call (now Archange) to the fantasy collections of DE Designs and the grunge from Sinistyle I love experiencing it all.
Not only has SecondLife provided me a platform to discover skills and also stability when RL was out of control, Second Life has also brought me love. The love of friends and colleagues are as real in Second Life as they would be in real life. Also, the love of a woman; a woman I met a long time ago and unconsciously gave me support when I needed it the most; a woman who has brought me laughter, exploration, new experiences and ultimately real life love and support. Quite possibly clichéd however very real and clichés aren’t all bad; after all without them we wouldn’t have experienced the 1980s.
As an insight into me this is succinct, to learn more see trinitydechou.com. Now as my limelight fades and Bunny leaves as easily as she entered it’s time to hand it over to the great Herald following.

“i didn’t play with barbies, but my abdomen looks like it got crushed horizontally in a meat compactor.”
come on. even if you’re not a female you can pretty easily pick up an anatomy textbook.

Hi Trinity. I have to say that I barely thought of the Matrix at all when I met you. My first thought was “tall”.
I had no idea of the difficulties (understatement) you have had and I’m glad you’ve found someone who has brought you laughter, love and life.

Mootykips, the assumption laden in your comment shows your own ignorance. Trinity is a female in rl and sl. Shame your limited perception didn’t pick that up, and that your shallowness kept you from enjoying this great interview. Kudos Trinstar!

While I respect that her av isn’t a blonde bimbo and she actually does something besides cyber in SL, she’s still far from unique. Can we get people who actually make their own av instead of just buying shit someone else made to slap onto it?

Wow, Laura Croft as a butch dike. Not really a look id personally recommend. But what ever works I for you id guess. With any luck Rosie O’donnel might see these pics and we can have a love match.
And I still maintain that Stephie seems far to much like Penny to be a coincidence.

Wow, the first comment already challenging you being a man? That’s cool, even by Herald standards. Shame that the commenter did not use his brain and did a little background research.
Well, not that it’s important but I do know you’re female, and the best friend (and in my case sister) one can hope for. I’m proud of you!

The deluxe costume has a fabric lining inside (the standard does not) and is about two inches longer than the standard costume. http://fashion.postedpost.com/2008/07/06/proportional-dressing-dress-apparel-match-your-body-shape/

I love Trinity’s avi as much as I appreciate the openness of the text she has written. And I must admit that I was immediately reminded of The Matrix when I read her name and was more than happy to not see a latex-wrapped walking stick but a full-grown woman. I fully second Maniko’s comment. In the second pic you look like Switch and she was way cooler than Trinity! Oh, and Stephan .. why is it that you guys immediately open the ‘butch dike’ drawer when you read about a girl not being interested in guys? Is it your despair about another piece of cyber-fuckeable material not being available for your personal e-pleasure? How small is that? And Bunny, please don’t feature any people who try their luck at avi making or we will have to look at awful crap like that Woodbury wannabe-creative Bridget brigade again.

“Oh, and Stephan .. why is it that you guys immediately open the ‘butch dike’ drawer when you read about a girl not being interested in guys?”
No, Mainly because I didnt bother to take the time to read much of what “she” said. the butch dike comment was directed at the giant truck driver shoulders and general manish appearance mixed with the tatoo used to cover up the obvious adams apple.
