Alpha Refugees Start with Clean Slate in Second Life

In TSO they were caught up in scam houses and drama, but sometimes the incorrigibly bad are really just painfully hungry for some form of intellectual stimulation and creative outlet. Hopefully, the ability to create custom content in Second Life will provide that for them. In this photo some former Alpha residents pause for a group photo after Angelina (aka NON-scammer Angelique Fontaine) and Mimi (aka ex-scammer Mrs. Granny, Gladys, Mimi, etc. etc.) built their first waterfall from scratch. With them are Free Money for Newbies alumni Kim (aka kimmers), Brad C, and Nick (formerly of 10+ previously terminated TSO avatars).

You can run around naked if you want, in which case you need to buy private parts, which run for 400, 600, and 800 linden dollars depending on the functinality desired. Best ones are scripted to respond to…, oh and they are modifiable. Since I try to make my avi as much like its typist as possible I had to make mine bigger.

Actually Coco, we gotta get you there too. You could do a lot with your game show there. Not sure, but I think you could “tape” it and “broadcast” it too. Plus, 35 visitors w/o lag. Customize your sets… Could be fun.

i heard second life is dead boring. More so than TSO.

Well Ian, if you like to make things and look at things and talk to friends it isn’t boring. You can also shoot to kill in selected areas (like my prop. youve been warned).

I will say that there is this effect that comes from having all the empty properties being online. On tso if the roomies aren’t there the prop is offline, but here they can be open 24/7, which means that there is a kind of haunting ghost town quality to some areas — especially at night. But if you don’t like that you can always go to some rave or something with lots of people in one spot. Seems to handlie up to 35 in a location without lag.

The real issue is not the lack of people or things to do, it seem sto me. It’s more about getting over the fear of using the interface and learning to navigate and all. It’s more challenging than tso, that’s for sure, and if you dont have friends there to help you I’m sure it would suck.

dunno but I left TSO almost 4 months ago for SL and I can see how it could be boring with anyone with no sense of creativity :)

Sorry but there.com looks pretty shittyif yo8u ask me… now i’ll admit i’ve never actuqally tried the game, but just by looking at the pics posted at thi and other sites it just looks awful.. its just tough once you get used to better 3d games to take several steps backwards to go try another.. its like going from a color tv to a black and white and most of the people who post here will probably not ever know what a black n white tv was lol….
