Of Mice and Roaches

Roaches plague the Miss Alphaville Pagent
Well, in case you were wondering what that new monster download on TSO was about, we now know. In it’s continuing policy of customer abuse and humiliation, EA/Maxis has decided that what this game most needs are cockroaches, mice, and very ugly curtains. It’s funny: on Second Life, where thousands of users are creating new objects every day, none of them have seen the obvious lacuna in that game ? mice and roaches and plug ugly curtains. Just goes to show how the EA/Maxis game developers are so much smarter than we are ? they can see that we need things that we didn’t even know we needed. Or perhaps, as one founder said to me, “they are just trying to drive us from the game.”

The curtains are not that ugly lol. And ur missing the good part of the update. How is it u happened to miss out on the pet personalitys I liked those. That was the main part of the download. And the other new lights and stuff are pretty good too. But whatever leave out the main facts.

Mice and cockroaches. Whoopee.
A year and a half later, EA/Maxis still doesn’t have a clue: Just because the sims are entertained and have plenty to do, doesn’t mean that the people who play the game aren’t bored. And they wonder why people are leaving for other games!
With the introduction of Casinos last year, they dropped the ball by not introducing multi-player games such as poker, blackjack, etc. Ok, Roulette is the exception but it’s not enough.
Would it kill Maxis to actually listen to what the players want in a game? Hey, it’s their company, their game, and their bread and butter so they can do what they want. I hope that by next year when TSO finally tanks, they’ll realize that they have nobody else but themselves to blame.
