Alphaville Election Scandal Won’t go Away

by Alphaville Herald on 14/07/04 at 4:07 am

The Alphaville Gazette, which is edited by SLH contributor and former AVG Press Secretary Ian is running a story to the effect that Jason Sim had posted an election-rigging confession in his user profile (since removed). Supposedly there was a Perl script that allowed one person to vote for Mr. President 264 time. Did this happen, or is Jason just messing with Ashley’s Head? Which would be more reprehensible? I’m not sure. The report *is* consistent with other information that has come forth, however.

We fully expect more inside stories about what happened in the elections in the coming weeks.

Do you really want a wannabe beauty queen for president anyway?

Well…if that’s who people actually voted for, what do I care? And what’s wrong with beauty queens. Gerald Ford was a male model, after all.

I cant make an informed comment on this, but it is simply my impression that Ashley is still a young girl with a heart of gold, lacking the experience to know what a mockery it would be to be president and actually HAVE a heart. No good president, even a mock president in a game, can afford to be that righteous.

I have had one to many traumatizing moments growing up in a home where entering and winning beauty pageants was the family goal. I got out of that as soon as I was able to defend myself. I saw young girls and old wearing more make up than a clown, and thinking it was normal. I saw families, including my own, spend thousands in make up and accessories. I saw drugs, alcohol and sickness…horrifying. Most of the stereo types about beauty pageants are true. They originated from somewhere. I feel that men or women entering contests on the basis of their looks is so outdated, ie: Gerald Ford. Most of the women and girls involved are so used to the experience that they don’t know anything else. Intelligence before beauty always.

I am surprised that anyone still cares about this anymore. I realize TSO has become a virtual ghost town lately but surely there must be something more interesting than this old topic.

    Hi Guys,
I just wanted to post my frustrations about this year’s Miss AV pagent hosted by Ashley Richardson and her modeling agency. I was a contestant and I am not mad because I didn’t win ( I have a real life and I could give a crap about things like this), I am upset because this was just a blatant display of a ludicris waste of tim of a show. First off the judges actually had to make a contribution to be a judge. Secondly two known scammers (Eve and Mr President Bradley) were judges. Third the judges didnt stay for the whole competiton. Two left in the middle and one came in for the second portion of the contest. How can scores be calculated accuratly for this? Thirdly the contestant that won had visable flaws in her runway show as well as a recited a poem or song as her talent (3 other contestants did this as well). Where is the crativity? There was some obvious bias among the hosts and judges. It was the biggest scam and I am sad to say I wasted my time on it.

You’re all idiots. Ashley was whining that her AOL buddies couldn’t vote. It’s because Aol users all share a code that doesn’t allow them to participate in website polls.
