David Pierce Resigns PE Ltd

David Pierce, of Pierce Entertainment LTD (recently the production company for an in-TSO production Waiting for Godot) has resigned his post and handed the reigns over to Eliza Collins. We’lll try to get a exit interview from him. Press release follows.

CEO and Founder of Pierce Entertainment, LTD. David Pierce officially announces his retirement from Pierce Entertainment, LTD. and its subsidiary companies effective at 12 midnight on July 14th, 2004. In his nearly two years as CEO of Pierce Entertainment, David Pierce single-handedly produced, directed and developed all of Pierce Entertainment, LTD.’s mainstage shows, including Waiting for Godot, 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, The Crucible Review, Christmas! 2002, Christmas! 2003, and The Importance of Being Earnest. As of July 14th, 2004, Pierce Entertainment, LTD. will discontinue its services to the community of Alphaville.

In a related announcement, David Pierce has also announced his official retirement from The Diamond Memorial Company and all of its subsidiary companies, effective at 12 midnight on July 14th, 2004. Diamond Memorial Company employee and former Pierce Entertainment, LTD. Director of Operations Eliza Collins will take over this company, working with Diamond Memorial Properties including Diamond Memorial Theatre, Diamond Memorial Cinemas, Diamond Memorial Museum and Diamond Memorial Weddings.

Any and all pending Ticket Advance Online Reservations are no longer valid. Any tickets previously paid through David Pierce for the remaining Pierce Entertainment 2004 Season, including Our Town and Night of Shakespeare will be refunded. All Season Members will receive a refund of $2000.

Since the city’s founding, David Pierce has single-handedly transformed Diamond Memorial Theatre into a massive corporate operation. Founding Pierce Entertainment, LTD. in the summer of 2003, Pierce began a tradition that has lasted longer than anyone imagined. Since its founding, Diamond Memorial Theatre has received over 15 nominations at the Academy of Alphaville’s Alphaville Awards, and has won nine of these highly regarded awards. It has been named a Historical Landmark by the Alphaville Government, and has been mentioned in countless Alphaville news organizations. David Pierce has received two Alphaville Awards for his work at Diamond Memorial Theatre.

Countless memories were made upon the Diamond Memorial Theatre stage, and none will ever be forgotten. Under David Pierce’s direction, Diamond Memorial Theatre underwent three major renovations, hosted countless events including Whose Line is it Anyway?, Dramatic Trivia, Debate Night, Okram Late Night, Miss Alphaville 2003, Miss Alphaville 2004, Mr. Alphaville 2004, Alphaville Government Election Debate, DMT Theme Days, and more. DMT has also produced several shows apart from Pierce Entertainment, LTD. including DMT Playhouse shows “Hansel & Gretel” and “The Monkey’s Paw.”

David Pierce has officially announced that he will take over as Director of the United Arts Council, and will also take over operations at Pierce Architecture, Inc.

In his first week of operation at Pierce Architecture, Pierce has created a fourth renovation outline for Diamond Memorial Theatre, and will complete the project within two weeks.

Beginning at 8pm EST on July 12th and running through 12 midnight on July 14th, the Pierce Entertainment, LTD. radio station responsible for broadcasting Waiting for Godot will broadcast all audio (including music and voices) from all of it’s previous mainstage season shows.
