Well kids, sorry for being soooo slow in reporting on this, but what with the Fatale/Parks wedding and the carping in Centreville this gossip columnist has had his/her plate full. For those of you who don’t know, the tight-knit social fabric of Club Elite has imploded, with several dancers and escorts – including head dancer Sunny Buttercup – departing with other Elite dancers to work at Michael Brodsky’s new club The Deck among much kvetching and backstabbing against Big John Jade. Mistress Daphne Molinari has assumed the role of head dancer. Details are only coming to us slowly, and we hope to interview Big John in the near future. Some sketchy background information follows.

According to our sources, a number of dancers including Head Dancer Sunny Buttercup have gone to join Michael Brodsky’s new club, citing grievances about the way they were treated by Big John at Club Elite. Among the complaints were his constant harping about lag and particle effects that gave rise to lag, and his extreme demands on the time of the dancers and cyber-escorts. As one anonymous defector put it: “Big John went ballistic and jumped on a poor girl for putting rainbows and Snow in the club they did not cause lag but he let her have it and a lot of people left for that reason — they are tired of BJ going on about the Lag and how much money he puts out, and we feel that we can’t even take a break and go shop. If we go for 5 minutes he is calling us back to the club and I have not had a SL life in a while.” Another dancer claimed that she took offense when Big John claimed that they – the dancers and escorts – could be easily replaced: “he showed he doesn’t care about us.”

For his part Big John is supposedly livid about Brodsky’s new club, in part because of the stolen dancers, but also because he believes that Brodsky stole or imitated the textures of Club Elite. He was overheard vowing that if there were competing events he would burn the Deck to the ground. Does this mean lag bombing? Script wars? Pat can’t wait!

Ahhhh, drama… yum.

XOXOXOXO –Pat
