The Top 5 Stories of 2004

by Alphaville Herald on 25/12/04 at 1:04 pm

There is room for debate about this list, but we think the clear #1 story of the year was our pursuit of corruption by Mr. President in the Alphaville Elections. After Mr-President received gushing coverage by lesser media outlets like the New York Times, NPR, and Wired News, it fell upon the Herald to tell inquiring minds what was really happening. Rounding out the top 5 we have…

2. The Second Jessie War (in which Mall Developer One Song tangles with the WWIIOLers and TechSols)
3. The demise of Club Elite (after dancers, citing exploitation, bolt, Big John Jade subsequently self-destructs in the comments section).
4. The tale of Sasami Wishbringer (when a player decided to roleplay a 8 yr old slave/cyberprostitute it raised questions about broadly offensive conduct, privacy, and a host of other issues).
5. Pat the Rat’s frollic with the Linden’s at The State of Play
