Damien Fate Closing Up Shop

Damien Fate, a veteran SecondLife clothing and avatar designer who ranks up there with Nephilaine Protagonist with his detail and style, is closing his store, Atelier des Reves in Mocha. The store in and of itself is a beautiful landmark in SL. It will be sorely missed.

In the forum postings, Damien stressed that it wasn’t the current changes in the SL monetary policy that caused this closing, but real life issues that hopefully will soon be worked out. Damien also had the Phobos Project, which held a dollar store for newbies to shop at and get a few new things from generous well known designers with the meager amount that they receive upon joining. Hank Ramos has delightfully agreed to continue hosting the dollar store.

Damien is not leaving SL, just simply tiering down. Here’s hoping that some wealthy patron takes his store on and he continues to provide us with lovely attire as he has done for so long.

Damien’s not only talented, he’s a nice guy. I like someone who has both, as opposed to a “skill-jerk”. Well, Dami and ‘Laine both know my views on that. ;)

Damien’s got some el mucho exciting stuff planned in the future. It’s in the works as I type this.
