Go North, Young Av

At long last, intrepid explorer Magellan Linden‘s intrepid explorations have borne fruit.

A new land mass has appeared in the northern reaches of the Grid we call Second Life.

The Herald’s initial exploration of the new continent, which has yet to be named, stopped first at what appeared to be a drilling rig in the new ANWR sim.

Noticing the bubbles leaking from below the surface of the sea, we descended for a closer look.

But the pipeline was sealed where it makes landfall in the new Sandra sim.

Further exploration revealed what appeared to be Magellan Linden’s ship (wrecked in the new Columbia sim), the ghostly stilt city described in his exploration journal, and what must have been a temple built by the city’s former residents.

Ship of fools?

Village of ghosts?

Temple of futility?

The temple, located in the new Iris sim, seems not to have been grand enough to appease whatever gods wiped the population from the face of the mini-map.

The Herald’s explorations will continue. We look forward to seeing what lies further on down the road.

Great to see this article, Walker. It’s a thrill because I chatted with you briefly before you headed up this way, and now I get to see the results. Hope they put more TeleHubs in soon. :D
