Virtual Journalists are the Mack Daddies of SXSW

These days Austin Texas is awash in indie film types, alternative musicians, and 1337 website designers — all here for the South By Southwest (SXSW) Con. But in this veritable ocean of media ho’s, who are the ho’s the the media wants a piece of? Well sure, old standby’s like Eli jah Wood and Al Franken and Wonkette are here, but what the traditional media really wants is to rub elbows with the media mavens of Second Life — Hammie Linden of New World Notes, Zero Grace (aka Tony Walsh) of Clickable Culture, and of *course* media mogul Urizenus Sklar. All three were on a panel entituled Virtually Journalism, moderated by Jane Pinckard of Game Girl Advance. And Uri and Zero were the interviewees of choice for local public radio station KUT. We are sooooo mack city.

You can thank media bias for the interest-levels. All the brick-and-mortar journalists are personally fascinated by why you guys are allowed to sit at home and chase pimps, gangsters, child-prostitutes, terrorists, lesbians, witches, models, pagans, anarchists, lesbians, land barons, Nazis, guy-girls, girl-guys, entrepeneurs, lesbians etc etc
