It’s my pleasure to introduce to you a new fashion writer for the Herald, Chipsen Queso! Chipsen will be doing reviews of clothing lines and fashion shows for us. If you have any clothing you wish for her to review for publication in the Herald, feel free to drop her a folder with the creator’s name in it and the names of the outfits up for review. Please direct any questions or comments towards her and she’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi everyone! :-) My name is Chipsen Queso. I’m the Herald’s reporter on all things going on in the world of fashion! As such, you can expect some reviews of clothing lines, both from established and well-known clothiers, all the way down to the people who have just begun. Today’s designer is Asri Falcone, one of SecondLife’s more famous clothiers. Her designs can be found on Le Cadre’ island.

Out of Asri’s clothing, I chose the “Blue Halter” and “Blue Bootie,” “Blue Furiously Belted Outfiter,” and the “Silver Glimmer Shoes.”

Blue Halter and Bootie

I’ll start out with the blue halter and bootie set. They’re both pretty nicely detailed, but I felt like asking where my pole was when I put them on. The halter retails for $L100, and the shorts retail for $L150. It’s a bit odd having shine on my chest, though, in the black of night. The texture also seems to stretch oddly over the lower stomach depending on how you stand. The shorts really aren’t my style. They’re literally “barely there” and end before your cheeks do. If they’re your style, though, you’ll love them and their detail, but perhaps not the price. Overall, these two pieces receive a 7/10

Furiously Belted Wardrober Blue

The “Furiously Belted Wardrober” consists of four pieces, plus an underwear layer mod of one of the two pants included. In my opinion, this is the jewel of what I was reviewing. I absolutely love the halter and jacket, both very detailed and made of leather. The long pants on both the pant and underpant layer are also very well-made. The shorts, though, face the same problem as the shorts reviewed just above. They’re too short for me and make me want to look for the nearest pole. This beauty of a set retails for only $L350, not a bad deal, but certainly not the best that I’ve seen. 9/10

Silver Glimmer Shoes

These prim shoes are very lovely in most ways. Though this picture does not show it (I had particles turned off at the time), they do bling! Clubbers, rejoice! I do have a problem, though, with the hyperactive invisiprims used in the making of these. They make a small cloud around each foot that erases any objects in their path and shows the terrain. What a pity for these otherwise-perfect shoes with a great walk replacer. These retail for the (relatively) large sum of $L300. 8/10

It’s a pity that I couldn’t even scratch the surface of Asri’s inventory! She has some amazing-looking stuff, but I couldn’t get to all of it because of something called my budget. Overall, I would say that I would shop in her store again, even if the prices are a bit high compared to places with comparable detail and style.

If you have any clothing you would like Chipsen to review, please drop it to her in a folder with the creator’s name, and then keep watching for the review!
