Introducing the Herald Phunny Pages

The Herald is pleased to announce the appointment of SL resident Brian Mifflin to the cosmically prestigous position of Herald Phunny Page Editor. We will be publishing a weekly comic strip and occasional cartoons with SL subject matter. Contact Brian in game if you wish to be a contributor. (Yes we pay). We begin by serializing Second Theory — a comic strip that Brian has made and posted on his web site, so some of you may have seen them. If so, enjoy them again as we republish them over the next few weeks.

Finally! The Sims Family Album culture merges with SL! I’m so happy. P.S. Just want to ask what Brian uses to stick the captions in. I wish SL had caption makers for the screenshots. That’s something Sims had. If you don’t know what I’m talking about look at http://syminalist.tripod.com/academyofsiminalism/ for my comix made out of Sims. We used to stick the screenshots in RealSlideShow or PictureTrail and put cheesy music in it and stuff. It is so much fun.

Hey Prokofy, I use Photoshop for all the dialog and after effects. It’s pretty much a combination of the lasso and other selection tools, stroking the selection, and putting some text inside.

I like your strip, but I urge people to see http://www.plywoodcomic.com as well. If you enjoy this kind of SL strip, you will love this site. Kudos to the Herald and their attention to detail.

OMFG it’s my neighbor Mori doing that plywood strip! And he’s enlisted Chresto and The Laura to dress up as Playboy bunnies!! All this time, they’ve been hanging out over in Louise pretending to work on some theater project and poo-pooing the trash we run (quite proudly) in the Herald, and now this!!!!!
muahaha, I knew they’d lower themselves to the level of mere mortals eventually.
I love all these SL comics. Heh, maybe we need a whole separate phunnies page for the Herald.
