Zero Grace to take SXSW on Sex-in-Games Gutter Crawl: Panel of Degenerates to include Herald Editorial Director
by Alphaville Herald on 08/12/05 at 1:21 am
In yet another sign of the end times and/or the ascendency of what those in the moment call The Herald Aesthetic, the Interactive Component of the world famous South by Southwest conference in Austin Texas will feature a panel on the secret sex lives of video games. According to Zero Grace, aka Tony Walsh, on his blog Clickable Culture, the panel will include a dude from slashdong.org, the Herald’s own Walker Spaight, and two other panelists. Groupies and sycophants may rest assured that Uri will also be on the scene, participating in a panel on making money in games, or something like that. The Herald has reserved a palatial hotel suite for the obligatory brain-cell-killing soirees.

Before anyone asks: No, I will not be doing a “banana show” during sex/games panel. Instead, any such performance will be reserved for Uri’s money/games panel, where it is more likely that I will receive tips. Bills only, please.

Please note: I am currently training to drink each and every one of you fuckers under the table on a nightly basis throughout the whole conference.
My youthful advantage will overcome your years of experience.
BRING IT ON.

Oh yeah, and another thing, the dude from slashdong.org is also the dude behind mmorgy.com, and I will NOT hesitate to get in a slap fight with you on the panel if you say you’ll pay writers more than us again.
Where you pay in cash, we pay in ass.
That’s right, for anyone reading this, if you write for MMOrgy, I will pay you in 100% grade A American male ASS. Who needs money when you can saddle up and ride AND have somewhere to set your beer?
(Let the comment wars begin. It’s gonna be a long, cold winter for you, my friend.)

You know, with all due respect, I always thought Zero was PG. Zero…do you think you might need some um tutorials before you go on this panel?

I am beginning to regret booking a hotel 6 blocks away from the bars… crawling-distance probably would have been wiser…

Prok, I only try to be polite on my own web sites. Here it’s strictly pants-off. In Austin, there will be a banana-show.

Where you people staying at? I just booked at the Raddisson Lake View ($139/night was kinda cheap before the $13/night in parking. Wish I would’ve seen that before. Motherfuckers.).
I was at the Extended Stay Suites for the Austin Games Conference, which was a good 10 block trek from the conference center, but Austin downtown is such a great walk that it really didn’t matter much. There are bars EVERYWHERE.

I’ll email you the deets, qDot. Wouldn’t want my innumerable die-hard groupies discovering my whereabouts during the conference.
