EA Cuts 5% of Workforce

Or so says this article on Forbes.com. I was unclear on whether this move is driven by the weak games sales in the current shift to new consoles, or, as the EA Spokesperson *seems* to be suggesting — outsourcing that would have happened anyway. Oddly, the EA position seems to be this: we aren’t firing 5% of our staff because we are getting hammered on the fiscals (which we are) but because we would be doing it anyway. Where is Jeff Brown when you need him?
