Roomba Frogger Conquers Memespace

The story about Roomba Frogger broken by Herald Editor Walker Spaight is now officially the talk of the metaverse now that Daniel Terdiman’s story has appeared on News.com. A quick visit to Technorati also shows a rapid diffusion of the story into blogspace, and why shouldn’t there be? But of course along with the oohs and ahhhs inspired by fond childhood memories of playing froger and darting into the street as *separate* activities, we have the usual nanny-state hand wringers saying that a mom driving down 6th street at 2AM with a baby in the back might swerve to miss the frogger, hit a tree, and…kill…a…baby. No word yet on whether tumbleweeds should be made illegal too.

Rumor has it that the Herald plans on sponsoring similar Game Instantiation Events in the not so distant future. Right now we are looking for a gorilla that can be trained to throw beer kegs.

    wowzers, 120 blogs and counting.

Meanwhile, I rescued the Roomba Frogger’s green skin and have hung it up in my office at Umich. It will return to SXSW next year.
