Ben Folds’ New Song: Second Life Mutha-F-ers Need to get a Real Life

Fresh from F-bombing Second Lifers in an underwhelming performance at the SONY Island in Second life Ben (Hasbeen) Folds has been hard at work in his studio writing about the life-altering roof-shifting experience that is Second Life while doing shots of Jaeger with Mel Gibson and arranging the adoption of a Malawi orphan via Skype. In the following track, acquired by the Herald via our usual nefarious means, we get a glimpse into Mr. Folds’ creative thought-processes. In the tightly crafted song (well, tightly crafted by *his* standards), Mr. Folds sings a love ballad of his rich Second Life experience. So far the lyrics go like this:
Second Life, mutherfuckers need to get a real life
Second Life, Gonna cut you with my light saber, baby

You forgot the bonus track at the end, “Yeah, this is the first time I’ve done it, I think it’s great”. And how can we forget that riveting intro “PPffbfbbfbbttt (Speaking too closely into mic ballad #1)”

Does he seriously mention to people to get a life then sing about a light saber?
This reminds me of when Lisa Presley went for a ride in a Nextel Cup Car and thought she was being treated badly by going fast, so for months in interviews, she trashed the sport and the people in it.
Ass… poor thing didn’t get the wonderful career expanding revolution he desired, so he cried. *hands a tissue*
