My new iMojo phone was buzzing insistently where I left it on the granite blocks near the waterfront in Sanchon sim. That whole iPhone thing is so last week’s news now – these days you want to be rocking an iMojo. The iMojo is innovative – the functions of the Herald’s office mojo wire have been packed into a small mobile device that fits neatly into my purse, but did I really want to stop playing Barber’s piano sonata to answer the phone? The mojo wire seldom brings good news.
I stopped just before really getting into the E flat minor section, and stared at the polished granite where the iMojo buzzed contentedly. In the last few days the iMojo has been insisting on role-playing a tweaked out bumblebee – something the iMojo enjoys, but creates an irritating sound when sitting on granite. There is such a thing as a too-smartphone. Still, granite blocks are really a must to get the proper sound out of a Suzanne Zeluco concert grand piano – recently expensed to the Herald as miscellaneous office supplies. Accountants and media critics might claim this was excessive, given the number of gorean slaves who perished hauling the huge blocks that support the piano from an ancient quarry outside Da Boom sim down to the Sanchon. However, Andre – the Herald concierge – assured me that most of the slaves crushed under the 2000 ton blocks during the unfortunate incident were able to make new alt accounts and are back to serving bazi tea in Gor. I sighed, and looked at the iMojo where a message said:

Thank you for the opportunities you have afforded me, but I am going to pursue other ventures and would like to spend more time with my family. It had been a good run with Heartun, but the siren call of “other ventures” and “more time with family” can be hard to resist. On the plus side, this may let Heartun spend more time perfecting her golf game. Good luck Heartun, and when you feel like doing a guest column, you know where to find us.
Andre had been turning pages for me while I played, but at this news he scurried off to form a ‘press gang to round up writers for an agony aunt column. After a few minutes in the pub, Andre and a gang of pirates left to fan out over the Grid saying things like “yaaar” and “them’s what can’ts write, we’ll set to haulin’ teh oars”. That is the trouble with being impressed into service – you never know where you will end up.
If this announcement reaches you before the press gang does, know that applications should consist of a sample column or story, suitable for publication in the Herald. The pay is standard Herald rates (L$1000 – 2000) for columns we publish. Before he left, Andre had suggested that writers ought to include a couple jpeg format pictures to break up the words, and e-mail the story to pixeleen.mistral at gmail.com. Andre really spoils me – he thinks of nearly everything – and is a true artist with the cat-o-nine-tails, particularly that time when the Gorean slave girl porters wanted to stop moving granite blocks and go shopping for new hair.
For those who don’t want to commit to a long-term ongoing relationship with the Herald, but feel an occasional urge to be an ink stained wretch, the same approach works. Write up your story and e-mail it. If you need a piano to help you write, we can probably expense it once you are on the staff.

While wading through her WAR AND PEACE THE EXTENDED UNABRIDGED VERSION WITH EIGHT HOURS OF BONUS FEATURES responses to Walker makes teh eyes bleed the gist of it appears to be that she’s taking her ball and going home.
I for one applaud the Herald for realizing what a destructive and unstable person Prokofy was and revoking her “FIC” status as Herald-elite, albeit way too late. Hopefully you’ll stick to your guns and not employ her or people like her in the future.

I went to Prok’s site as linked above by Joshua and skimmed through to get the movie Lord of the Rings version instead of the book complete with Elven language lessons.

Also seeing positive articles that aren’t about avatar models and other silly shit would be nice! I’m positive that SOMETHING good happens in SL once in a while…not around Prok, though!

I love the “bad news, good news” twist this article took. All we need now is a troupe of obnoxiously dressed midgets to come out on stage, dancing in unison as they sing, “Ding dong, the witch is dead. Which old witch? The Prokofy witch.” Say what you will about Prokofy, her articles usually were entertaining to read, and provided fuel for debates in the comments.

Ethan, the problem was that her articles were lies and attacks followed by responses of other attacks and some challenging of her disinformation. This was then followed by all types of accusations and judgement from Prok. When that was countered and Prok didn’t have a leg to stand on she resorted to profanity and insults. Not to mention how many she seemed to be allowed to put on the site compared to other people’s articles.
That’s not debate. Thats a flame war and slander. She surely would have been sued if this were a real news service that anyone in RL cared about. Hell even the Enquirer doesn’t go that far!!
She definitely WAS entertaining, but in the same way one could be entertained by taunting an old, blind pit bull with meat. We just got her barking enough that her owners decided to let her run away. Works for me!

Arggh. Prokofy is a tough, opinionated, old broad and more power to her. It doesn’t matter to me in the slightest whether I agree or disagree with her or her manner; it makes my heart smile knowing that wily old wolf is on the hunt.

If by debate you mean, “Prokofy makes long-winded paranoid accusation filled with personal vendetta and lies” and “Person so assaulted textually comes along to correct Prokofy’s hyperbole and misrepresentation” and “Prokofy makes more grandiose assumptions about how original person is a sock-puppet for the Internet Nazi Party and or KKK and or Greenpeace” etc etc etc times infinity ad nauseam.
I always boggle by people who inadvertently defend Prokofy by saying “Well at least she inspires a lot of debate!” She doesn’t. She’s a fractious psycho who lashes out at those she’s jealous of, harasses those she wants to be like, ridicules and threatens those who call her out on her bullshit and see her for who she is. She’s not an inspiring diplomat or an investigative reporter or a freedom fighter or any of the myriad things she believes she is.

SLH honestly should commision an article by Petey or any of her other well-spoken archnemises filled with her greatest hits from all over the interwebs.
No doubt this would include recent classics such as the tale of her tenant’s ‘rape’ and how ‘cyber rape is the SAME as real rape’, the Prokofy bust, the bannination from Terra-Nova, the potential banning from the con, hissing and making the sign of the cross at Aimee(think it was her, not sure) Joshua and the door (with a guest appearance from Coconaut), and even some of her old beef with W-Hat on the old official forums.
Second Citizen had a pretty good “hey, here’s what you need to know!”, but I’m wondering how updated that is.

Prokofy complains about the recent ad-hoc implementation of acceptance reviews, which should have been implemented from the beginning. Nobody may not accept his/her own work.
Prokofy complains too about the editing policy of the annoying pictures article, I guess. The article was an opinion written finely. The only questionable point was publishing of the SL-link giving an impression that it came from Lisae Boucher. The link was obviously being touted by many persons to boost the sales of technically bad art(?). Well, anybody can call himself/herself an artist. Especially in SL.
The article written by Prokofy was on the legal side, but the comments, of which some obviously were made up without seeing the ugly pictures, were written by real life criminals and easy to spot liars.
As I wrote earlier, it was the comments part which run out of the hands. The moderation of them should have been done by somebody else than Prokofy.
I suggest that nobody accepts her/his own stories and somebody else than the writer takes care of the comments.

Yes, Prokofy is the one who hissed at Aimee and called her “fucking shit,” and despite doing so in the presence of other witnesses she’s backtracked from “Ofcourse I did that, that’s what you do to pure evil” to “No that never happened.”
And she’s also made up the crap about her door too. I got sent it by a griefer who thought I’d help him get her more info and when I told Prok about it she flipped out and accused me of spreading it around. You can’t win with a crazy like her.

Prokofy does not own the Herald and therefore has no say at all in how it is run.
The management however does have a say in what gets posted and what stories are run. It also has a say in how their ‘writers’ present their ‘stories’ – If anyone has a problem with how the Herald is run they are free to leave.
In short so long as Prokofy wrote ‘stories’ for the Herald … Prokofy had to follow the Herald’s guidelines and listen when told what to post and how to do it … Not the other way around.

Hi, as the editors here continue to be too chicken-shit to publish an editorial about their new policies which forced me to cease posting articles and comments here, and to stand up to this kind of bullying and harassment in comments, I’m forced to engage in self-defense. So as with SC, while I don’t wish to participate in a forum where I am constantly falsely attacked and harrassed and where the deck is stacked knowingly by the moderators, I will defend myself.
1. I did not “hiss” but merely exclaimed, “Fucking shit!” — not *calling* Aimee “fucking shit” but exclaiming about the shock of suddenly being introduced to her by Frans Charming. Frans knows that, Aimee knows that; Joshua here is merely embellishing.
2. I held up crossed fingers in a joking manner to indicate — evil! — and also a wish to leave the situation, not have *any* verbal exchange further so as to avoid the problem of an encounter being misconstrued and exaggerated (as it is anyway). As we all know, a similar encounter with Kendra in SLCC1 led to endlessly hysterical ranting and exaggeration about a simple argument — these kids lie so much and rant so much they begin to get scared of their own shadow.
3. I did not “hiss” or “hold up a cross” any second time — and THAT is what is denied, not the first time. I surely don’t deny saying “fucking shit” and holding up a cross one time — Frans is the witness, and I surely do not lie about my actions in RL or SL. But I didn’t do this twice; that was made up by Cristiano and others who weren’t even there.
4. Joshua sent a picture of this door to Cocoanut, because he was on mute and couldn’t send objects to me. That *is* sending it around. He did it with a note that was calculated to try to intimidate me, not “help” me.
This is a strange locution “a griefer who thought I’d help him get her more info” — not grammatical or unwittingly betraying mroe about the griefer’s identity (Hazim is sometimes said to be a girl in RL by Intlibber, for example, but is often referred to as “he” from apparently male avatars, although they are usually cats). “and when I told Prok about it” is made up, as he couldn’t send me or IM me, being on *mute* but did this through Cocoanut.
5. The oldest story in the book that griefers and victimizers often tell is how they are in fact trying to protect or save their victims. They do this merely as a means to feel even more power over them and grief them even in more subtle ways. I have absolutely no doubt that this door story isn’t about any genuine urge to “help” and “prevent griefing” by another but merely more of the elaborate, sick stalking game that Joshua Nightshade has been playing. Why?
o how is it that he has such close ties to griefers, that they think of him to send a picture of a door they have ostensibly taken
o who is it that claimed to live in NYC a few blocks from me such as to be able to *take the picture* — Joshua, who told us numerous times where he lived.
o who kept saying over and over on various fora that he “spotted me” and that “hey, it’s raining and Prok has an umbrella” etc. etc. — as only a creepy stalker could do.
o who would be motivated to scare me further by sending this around – the person really taking the picture, if they wished to intimidate it, could send it to me directly
And on and on–everything Joshua and his little sect on SC do is creepy and disgusting, and the Herald should be ashamed of itself for allowing this sort of bullying and harassment to go on as long as it has.
If you don’t want Prok to keep fighting in the comments, and keep coming back to answer blatant fucked-up shit like this from little fucktard griefing assholes with no lives, then you need to take a stand of some sort — if you wish to keep true to your goal of never moderating comments that are “racist,” then at least take a stand in an editorial. And…one wonders why only ‘racist’ comments get to be removed, but the sort of horrid, creepy, stalking mysogenist comments and libelous statements from a goon like Joshua get to stay. Whatever.

@Coincidental Avatar: It’s always fishy to me when someone says “well they should have regulated me sooner!” It goes back to her insane lack of responsibility and ability to see when she’s wrong…she’d probably be wrong a lot less if she could!
I agree that SLH is run pretty loosely and their editing/administration/moderating leaves much to be desired if they want to ever realize their full potential as well as avoid fiascos like Prok.
However, Prok needs to take responsibility for her actions and be the adult she should be at 50+ years old. Instead she accuses anyone that calls her out of being a griefer or other sort of scum, targets people for slander (which isn’t legal where I come from) and resorts to juvenile profanity and name-calling when she gets backed in a corner and can’t support her own statements with any sort of verifiable fact.
You can’t pin that on SLH. You also can’t blame the piles of people that showed up to force her out. Many of them were just as unreasonable, but there are plenty (including myself) that actually had a point to what we were saying and trying to get across to her.
I say “mission accomplished” and “here are some pens for your crazy pocket, Prok.”

Heartun was my favourite part of SLH. Always witty and informative, her pieces are a riot to read. And I will continue to read whatever she puts out there – whether it appears on her personal site or another source. I always thought that SLH didn’t fully enable you to express yourself creatively.
Good luck with all your future endeavors, Heart. Spend more time getting lost in DarkLife and less time thinking about publishing deadlines.

I think Prokofy is doing his best to write good articles but unfortunately he tends to make several minor mistakes. One thing that I’ve heard a lot is that he forgets to check the facts. It’s news thus it needs to be reported. When more news arrive then more news is created. And forget about those previous articles that contain some false facts because no one reads old news.
Well, that is true in the Real World but on the Internet those news stories will hang around for years. They just continue to be news for many people, long after any follow-up posts are written. And there will always be people who will just believe in those articles and make up their mind about such topics. And this is something I see in many of Prokofy’s post. He mentions a few facts, some comments are added and he either starts adding more facts (which sometimes contradict previous facts) or he starts doing some namecalling since someone just told him that his facts are wrong and therefore the story is incorrect.
Everyone’s entitles to Prokofy’s opinion…
But does he mean bad with this? I don’t think so. He just becomes too emotionally involved in the stories that he writes about. Thus anything that hurts the story will hurt Prokofy. And he takes that very personal. And I consider that a personality flaw but then again, no one is flawless.
It is sad to see Prokofy become so bewildered about the topic of griefers but again, this is because of his personal involvement. He’s not a reporter who just reports. He’s becoming part of those stories now. And that clouds his judgments. So it’s a good thing if he just takes a cooling-down period. A long holiday or whatever. I see that he’s trying to do some good but he has become so involved that he’s started to behave exactly in the way that he hates so much. It’s a bit “eye for an eye” principle. Unfortunately, keep that up and everyone ends up blind.
I believe that Prokofy is okay for a writer. Not real bad but not good either. Yet I also think he can do much better than he’s doing now. But that means that he will learn to control his emotions and to not consider every word of criticism as a personal attack.
Then again, Prokofy has made himself extremely unpopular by his comments and people who read that other blog and see the many times he used the F word and other bad language won’t easily thing: “Wow, what a nice guy…” If a guy would ever stand in front of me and use such kind of language to me, I’d just kick him so hard in a certain spot that his eyeballs would be replaced by his testicles. So, it’s a personality problem. But maybe he’ll cool down after a few weeks or so, after reconsidering his sins and stuff like that…
I don’t hate Prokofy. I just dislikes how he behaves…

As Lisae is printing LIBELOUS material here, let me defend my good name again, as the editors of the Herald are unwilling to do so.
1. None of the material in my articles is false; there are no “mistakes” in these articles about Lisae, which are of most concern to her. The information is stated accuratedly. The only article in the history of my posts here that had an incorrect fact and was retracted and a correction posted was the story of November 2006 about the Sheep, for which most of the facts in the story were correct. There are no other false or libelous or incorrect articles.
2. The information in the first article about Lisae says “there are conflicting reports” (true) which say either allegedly this or that. That is the truth. As soon as it appeared that one of the versions of this accurately-reported story was the case, i.e. that the Lindens ALLEGEDLY didn’t seize the artworks in question, that was indicated. However WE HAVE NO PROOF of that as we ONLY HAVE LISAE’S WORD, and we are awaiting conformation from the LINDENS. Eyewitnesses say that the works were force-copied from God mode, simply to facilitate having them available without having to enter the account. This awaits confirmation. Every single element of this story has been reported accurately and faithfully.
3. There is no “false facts” in the “old news” that the “new news” someone negates, as the story was reported *accuratedly* at first as having conflicting stories — which both stand, as all sources stand by what they said, and the Lindens have not spoken; only Lisae has spoken. Lisae has consistently turned in misleading, distracting and outright prevaricating versions of the story here, and is hardly a reliable source. She finds it unpleasant that the story isn’t being warped to fit her own exaggerated sense of her innocence and righteousness, but the story has been reported *accuratedly* based on other witnesses and based on the *non-confirmation* of the Lindens. He claim of a private understanding with a Linden is merely a claim; it is not a truth or a fact.
4. I’m not “bewildered” by griefers, but they grief me because of my accurate and truthful accounts of their lies and distractions about their actual griefing. The very people trying to portray themselves as honor students uninvolved in griefing in fact came to grief me. So it’s part of the story that must be reported as we report *the facts* about griefing in SL rather than the word-salads, the Eddie Haskellings, and the propagandistic lies put out by the b/tards.
5. I stand by my use of crude words to describe systematic, long-term, egregious, bad behaviour. This chatlog was published aggressively in an infantile and petulant effort by Walker Spaigh to make me “look bad” but *I stand by it* as it reflects real, legitimate sentiment about bad behaviour. A pornographer in SL in an X-rated store in M selling is *hardly, hardly, hardly* the person to be castigating *me* for saying “the F word”. *rolls eyes*.
6. Lisae has a problem with men, penises, heterosexual relations, and many other aspects of sex. Her violent imagery here, so out of proportion to even the usual bawdy and obscene language of the Herald, so violent and sick, really stands out. It’s good for the reader to see that this shrinking violet working on her awkward poser paintings underwater and being harassed by Volunteers is in fact a highly troubled, broken human being who lies, misleads, distracts, feints, bluffs, and aggressively mudslings and maligns to get her way.
7. I’m not going to be “cooling down” or considering “my sins” as I haven’t committed any. Meanwhile, the editors of the Herald have to consider what monster they’ve created by allowing a sick and broken little girl dictate editorial policy and tone in the comments like this.

Prokofy, by reading your blog on that other site I know you do not mean to do anything bad. I don’t know what that guy said about me on that blog but I am glad you banned him for what he attempted to do. So thank you for that. It’s really appreciated.
But I do feel offended by how you express yourself and how you sometimes insult people by name-calling. Especially the use of the F-word in your conversations is not a good thing. And you tend to lose your cool sometimes because of some stupid comment. Well, sometimes. You seem to think it’s normal to respond in a crude way and then you’re surprised that people will respond in a crude way back. You reap what you sow.
But I’m grateful that you don’t allow that guy to post any kind of personal information about me. So you’re okay to me, even though your use of crude language still offends me.

Lisae seriously, you have this crazy rant-woman harassing you here and calling you horrifying names, accusing you of ridiculous crimes, and you’re still trying to clear her?
I’m boggled.
She’s a psychotic, hate-filled woman. EVERYTHING she does is a poorly-calculated attempt at doing something “bad.”
Please don’t confuse her actions in one possibly beneficial manner to something redeemable. Prokofy is a pathetic excuse for a person and I feel so immensely sad for the poor children who are raised in the indoctrinated cult of anger that her house must be.

Yes, Joshua, I am serious about that. Because Prokofy also did something decent on his own blog. He removed some comment from someone who gave posted some very personal information about me! No matter how crude and offensive I consider his posts, he still respects my privacy, and I think that therefore people will also have to respect HIS privacy too. And the bad language? I’m just ignoring that. I don’t have to like Prokofy but I do have respect for each and every person and Prokofy happens to be one.
Personally, I strongly disagree with his actions and his recent posts but because of that, I am mostly ignoring him. Sending hate mail just would make it appear as if he’s popular. All popular people get hate mail. I don’t think it’s good that Prokofy becomes popular just because of all the hate mail. So if you ask me, if you disagree with his posts and get upset by his use of offensive language then just ignore him. Because if people continue to challenge him, he just seem to be more popular every day.
But I do know one thing. Prokofy respected my privacy, even though he could have made some story out of it and just leaving it there. And thus he deserves my respect too.

The most common insult I read, levelled against Prokofy, is that he/she is mentally imbalanced, unstable, psychotic, “crazy”. The same people appear time and time again to shout Prok down, often by repeating the same insult. For some time, I thought they must have been right. “If enough people keep saying this, they must be right?” It gradually dawned on me that this was a misnomer of the highest order.. “Why are all these people taunting, insulting, berating this person they claim is psychotic? What does it say about someone who wilfully and repeatedly attacks a crazy person?”
In summary, every time I now read a comment by someone stating that Prokofy Neva is unstable or crazy, I don’t have to read anything else they’ve written, I know they are full of shite.
Fellows, it’s time to take a different approach because that one’s running out of steam.

Unfortunately it seems as if Prokofy has no qualms about banning a person simply for putting their opinion and personal experience on his Blog and coming up with an excuse after the fact.
He has no interest in facts whatsoever regarding those who follow his rules, as anyone posting using their real name will see – especially if the name is as generic as my own.
What I find rather disturbing and amusing at the same time is that he actually managed to convince himself that he has banned a ‘griefer’, ignoring the fact that until recently I have steered rather clear of such topics.
I do know you read any place that your name pops up in Prokofy and so I challenge you to provide evidence to support your claim – if you have any.

Don’t worry, Daniel. He will, even if he has to make things up himself. Problem is, some people still consider him to be a serious reporter and tend to believe what he claims. That’s so sad… Prokofy just behaves like many other griefers. He just has the better tools to do so and knows how to hide his griefing behavior better. Prokofy is just seeking attention with his actions and unfortunately, as long as people talk about him, he’s succeeding.
