last poem

Like the lyrical path
Of an unwrit song
She walked through my life
But wouldn’t for long

She lifted me up
From the wandering crowd
And held me aloft
On silver-lined cloud

And we soared through the world
On magical boards
Danced in the stars
Away from the hordes

And there were our souls
All glowing and bare
And we held to each other
And comfort was there

‘Til at last we touched down
And she faded away
Now there’s no night
No breaking of day

Just the whirring and chirp,
The fan and harddrive
And wand’ring cartoons
No longer alive.

But I still look up
Where divinity stood
And pray that someday
If only i could

Dance in her arms
And feel my heart pound
Once again soaring
The lost will be found.

Then off we will fly
‘Cross vineyard and sea
And I will love her
And she will love me!

Then the hard drive will fade
No whirring to hear
But only birds singing
And life reappears!

And we will live on
While others may fade
In our own world
That two hearts have made.

It’s nice to see a bit of poetry here for once. I’m all for news and information about SL, but this is a nice break.

It made me think of the song that I feel should be the theme song of SL. … My Eyes Adored You by the Four Seasons

    “My eyes adored you
Though I’ve never laid a hand on you
    my eyes adored you
    …………..
    so close, so close,
    and yet so far”

What kind of masochist are you?

There needs to be a SL poetry blog somewhere where this would be more appropriate. Personally, I don’t like poetry (especially this kind) but appreciate the art of it and the fact that other people DO actually like it.

Maybe when the hard drive revs back up you could start your own SL poetry club! I’m being serious btw.

    u better replace your hard-drive
Lest it be no longer alive
Whirring is not such a problem, I’d assume
but chirping is a sure sign of impending doom

“There once was a man from Bonaire
Who was fucking his wife on the stair.

    As the bannister broke
    He doubled his stroke
And finished her off in midair! :P

I like that one better. Sorry.

The once was a man from the cape
    Who sexually assaulted an ape
    The ape said “You Fool…
    You’ll bugger your tool…
And put my poor arse out of shape.

    @ what:

‘what the fuck is this shit’ is the correct term and usage here not ‘what the fuck is this’.
