Congressional avatars — shocking video tells the tale?

by Pixeleen Mistral, National Affairs desk

A friend pointed out this video, and I can’t help but wonder – could this be one of the members of congress who was lofting marshmallows to Philip Linden at the April 1st PR event U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing? From what I saw of the hearings, some congressmen who ought to know better may have started to go native. Thank goodness there aren’t any serious real life problems for congress to address right now.

However – even if politics make strange bedfellows – this sort of thing might be better behind the corporate firewall. Just ask IBM.

You are teh sexx!

Shock and awe at how LL via Rosedale tells the Federal Court in the pleadings filed with that Court in Pennsylvania (http://secondlife.typepad.com) that users don’t own the world they’ve created, they change their home page to remove the word “own” during the lawsuit, and then Rosedale unabashedly testifies to the Tech sub-commmittee of Congress that this is a world “owned” by its users… and so much more to come. It will be very interesting to see when the committee next convenes and/or reports what they say to their counterparts, and their constituency, once they are forced to acknowledge the information they should have addressed.

OK…. even the guys which play as females in SL don’t look that gross in RL! Same as the girls that play as guys, they don’t look THAT bad! That was just… oh god. It was kinda funny, but mostly just gross.

I personally don’t care what a person looks like in RL, just as long as they don’t start to send me their picture or something. If someone wants to RP being someone else in SL, then do so and do so ALL the time and do it well. If they do that, I got no problem with them. It’s called SL, your SL doesn’t have to be the same as your RL, that’s the whole point of it.

And that’s my opinion sharing quota filled for the day. I got to go agree with people now for the rest of the afternoon, ta ta!

PS:…. I will say I enjoyed the beginning of the video XD.
