Second Life’s Military Has One Epic Party

Militias turn off damage, perform Russian dances
by Vegna Fouroux, war correspondent
The epic begins with dancing to “In the Navy”
On one bright Sunday morning I was wandering round an empty Dismal Plunge, bored. I got a mysterious tp from a friend of mine, Darakon. He proclaimed that LawrenceJoseph Roffo was steadily building a massive russian dance-off. Now many of you may know LJ from his time in the Alliance Navy, the Merczateers or Vanguard armed forces. I accepted the tp for the sheer randomness of it all. When I arrived there was 5 guys kneeling down performing Russian dances to music coming from Lawrence’s mic. After a while I left, a good time had by all.
About 4 hours later Sasuke Undercity a fellow soldier in the Militant Collective begin tp-ing us into a party. The same Russian dance. Lawrence and the fellow host Jumanji Hatfield had taken over 2142′s base. LordBob Boa and James Benedek had been kind enough to turn off damage for the party. What had started as 3 guys messing around in some island (Xyekep, Lawrence Joseph and Jumanji) had developed into an epic military function; with AN, Mercz,The Fabled of Arkhein, MC, 2142 and even a few spartans were present. TP’s were offered to Jim Herbst admiral of the Alliance Navy but they were declined.
At one point there must have been at least 40-50 people in Metropole Extreme North (videos of the party courtesy of Darakon Kayvon and eye korobasa).
Second Life Army Party continues to grow
I got talking to the man who started all:
Vegna Fouroux: so Lawrence where did the idea for this party come from?
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: Well. Lately, there has been a lot of conflict in the world as well in the SecondLife world. I dreamed up an idea to inspire military activists in SecondLife to get together and enjoy some music and take some weight off some shoulders.
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: And to create some laughs, of course.
Vegna Fouroux: so like a time-out from all the drama. So now that you’ve left Vanguard any plans for what you yourself will do in terms of militaries etc…..?
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: Vanguard was basically nonsense, I might add. I do have upcoming military plans. Some have heard, but I am creating something of my own. It will become noticed very soon.
Vegna Fouroux: So do you think the party was a success in its aim to bring our military community together?
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: I believe it was successful. I think everybody had a great time. Militant Collective personnel, Sparta personnel, Merczateers Personnel, and some Alliance Navy personnel. Sadly, I doubt the Alliance Navy took any of it seriously. We went to Dorien and were killed as soon as we turned some music on.
Vegna Fouroux: And 2142 had no problems accommodating you?
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: We visited various military bases, but we collected at least thirty residents at the 2142 sim. James and LordBob made some of the rally possible.
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: And they were a part of it as well.
Vegna Fouroux: well Lawrence thanks for chatting to me and the truly epic party!
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: Thanks, Vegna. Take it easy.
After a truly great day LJ announced to the crowd:
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: YEAHYA. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS AWESOME, PEOPLE.
LawrenceJoseph Roffo: Alright, guys. That’s a wrap. Thanks to Darakon for frapsing this. I will send you all the link to the video once it is done. Thanks to vegna for writing an article over this. I will send you a link when he is done. I had a lot of fun, guys.
We listened to one last Queen song and that was that – but words are a poor way of describing what was truly an epic event – so watch the videos.

This idea originaly came from RoG and Legio Infinitus but we had to cancel the party at the last moment because of some intern problems at our base. I’m glad someone used our idea, i believe it is important that we all talk with each other.

lol, the reason the second video has shit quality because you’ve essentially combined the two groups that don’t understand that more polygons does not mean a better 3D model: The Army fags and the furfags.
They throw prims at stuff until they think it looks good.

Near, the reason my video has bad quality is because it was laggy as hell there. I would have loved to get good film of the event like Darakon did, but I couldn’t.
