Darkley Aeon — Post 6 Grrrl

Although I very much appreciate people who spend all their time and Lindens on the bringing to perfection of their one avatar, be it in RP or not, it is the chameleons I love the most. Those people who re-invent themselves on every log-in. And though changing their looks dramatically every day, their character, their personality always remains the same. Why limit yourself in a (virtual) world of unlimited possibilities? One of these chameleons is Darkley Aeon who changed her looks faster than I could center my camera. Ok, so in RL I’m a Londoner, but in SL I am many things, some days I’m a vampire, hanging out at Bloodlines or the castle, other days I may be dressed like Amy Winehouse, in a pretty dress, in scummy grungy clothes complete with bruises and cuts. I’ve even been a broken doll, with a cracked face and falling over a lot.
I hang around mostly in Forum which is my favourite place in Second Life, with the friendliest bunch of people I have met and where you can hear me cackling away like a madwoman, chatting away with friends generally enjoying myself, I’ve even set up a trivia quiz, where I spank their arses regularly (although admittedly I have rigged it slightly so more English questions come up)
I see SL as fun, and when it’s no longer fun – I will stop logging in.
Originally, I joined SL at the beginning of 2007, but couldn’t work out how to download the client, and didn’t know what to do and gave up – since I had forgotten that original log in name and password and made another attempt on a miserable boring day in December, persevered and voila!
What I like best about SL – wandering, having a nosey round and talking, talking, talking, talking to people – either in chat or on voice – I have made many friends from all over the world and just like finding out about people, not in a a/s/l way – but about their ideas and thoughts on random subjects – I like the randomness of SL – the places, the avatars, the conversations…
I just started to try and be productive in SL, rather than just a materialistic voracious consumer, I’m trying (and failing) to make some stuff, it’s just that I know exactly what I want to do in my head, but my hands and brain do not coordinate properly. I’m praying that it’s a universal Second life issue rather than me being an idiot.
Being an untechnical person, I have had lots of help from friends and strangers who are always willing to help a girl with a nice rack out – ain’t they sweet?
I am very excited about being a Post 6 Grrrl, and I wish for world peace – oops wrong thingy … I’d like to thank my agent, god, all the little people – oops wrong thing again – what was this all about again?

Wow, I’m actually impressed.
Well maybe not impressed, more like shocked. Your tits aren’t completely out of proportion even if you are as skinny as every other av in SL. I have to commend you for actually trying your hand at building as well, just keep trying and you’ll get better at it. It saddens me that not many people can build in SL when thats the most unique feature about the entire client.

Darkley’s not only one of My best friends in Forum, but was recently made a Gardener, which was richly deserved. She’s always a ray of sunshine, and the Forum’s a bit quieter when she’s not there. (Darkley, you’ll get My $10,000L bill for the props in the morning!)
