Linden Lab and BP Hold Second Life Graduation Ceremonies

Senior prom will go on as scheduled

Senior Second Life executives who parted company with the Lab recently had simply tested out of their remaining coursework, so there is no cause for concern – theSenior Prom and Linden Remembrance Ball will be held as scheduled, according to school officials.
One of the recent graduates – assistant class president Ginsu Linden (VP Corporate Development) – yesterday penned a farewell note for the school newspaper and warned against the dangers posed by "who prefer their underinformed opinions to verifiable fact" and might speculate in an attempt to find bad news. Ginsu also promised to make sure all business development inquires would be in good hands before his departure at the end of the month.
Ginsu joins a number of other graduates in the last few month – including Robin Linden (VP Marketing and Community Development), Zee Linden(Chief Financial Officer) – all part of school principal M Linden'sdistance education independent study program for former senior LL executives – an ongoing initiative that is making more classroom spaceavailable for new students in the on-campus Second Life Executive Educationprogram.
In related news, Clare Linden reports that BP held graduation ceremoniesfor a number of executives enrolled in the Managing Projectsdistance-learning course run by the Manchester Business School. It wasunclear if the BP graduates will be seeking opportunities elsewhere, asis the case with the Linden Lab alumni, but the in-world cap and gown business looks like a winner this spring.

So LL slowly but surely looses its founders and gains accounts, sales specialists and pitchmen.
Tech types and visionaries days are numbered, unless you are a financial visionary. No one should cry.
When M was hired, the handwriting was written on the subway wall as they said a long time back.
I would give my bonus back if only, as a fly on the wall, I could listen to Mitch and others discuss the SL future.
The folklore says you can’t start a creative enterprise without visionaries. And you can’t run it with them.
