[Florence Raghilda appeared in Post 6in the middle of November and I begged her to come back and pose again. She is super smart, very funny, and gorgeous. I wanted her back to poseagain because she is a good person in real life and in Second Life, andI am a big fan of everything about her. It is an honor to presentagain, Florence Raghilda, Post 6 Grrrrl. ~Timothy Morpork]

Florence Raghilda Final 1

Hello Again!

Iwas just here posing for you a few weeks ago, and I have to say that itwas a scary experience to wait for the page to load and wait to seeyourself there on THE Herald. On the good side, my Second Life friendswere all very supportive and loved my pictures, (as did I). On the badside, well, Timothy had to beg me to come back here.

I don’tmind criticism where it helps me. In my career, if there is something Ihave not mastered I seek criticism because frankly, as a surgeon, itoften IS life or death if I’m not up on technique, method or knowledge. Here in this little pixelated world, there is nothing life or death andyet the criticism of everything is waist deep. I just don’t understandit. It makes me sad for the future to think that people sit at theircomputer and wait for Post 6 to go up so that they can spew hate. Isn’tthere something better you can do with your time?

Idecided to pose again because Timothy is a nice person, I don’t thinkthere is any mean in him, and if he can take this foolish noise and letit roll off his back week after week I can too. It’s the HolidaySeason, the Season of Miracles, and all of that- in a best casescenario maybe my words will help someone gain perspective and turn offthe computer for a while and spend time with their family. In a worstcase scenario, Takuya Kawashima and Scylla Rhiadra will self-promotethemselves for tens of thousands of words in the comment area. Eitherway I’ve helped a friend and that’s what matters.

Florence Raghilda Final 2

Asfor the topic I intended to write about, I like every thing thatrepresents the idea of a “traditional” family Christmas- the excitementof my children on Christmas morning, all of the family around thedinner table together, the tinsel and the twinkling lights on theChristmas tree.  But most of all I love the spirit of Christmas and theway it unites people. It’s hard to be in a bad mood around a twinklingChristmas tree, or with the smell of a roasting turkey or hot chocolatein the air. Whatever your family’s traditions, or whether you arestarting a new family and starting new traditions, I hope with all myheart that you all will give an extra hug to someone you love thisyear, and do a random act of kindness for someone in need.

Idon't like the commercialism, or the fact that some people have morethan they can ever use while others have nothing. I don't like thatpeople are cold or hungry or alone. These are things I work to stop asmuch as I can. I will volunteer again this Christmas at our localshelter serving Christmas dinner and handing out presents to children.I chair one of the groups that collects presents for families lessfortunate, and the reactions of the children, the light in their eyes, keeps me coming back to help those parts of our population that need usthroughout the year, as I volunteer with a local group of fellowdoctors to provide low cost or free health care to the homeless in mypart of the world and also to impoverished villages in South andCentral America a couple of times each year. Giving to people of mytime and energy is important to me, and also selfish, because thosesmiling, grateful faces teach me more than any creature comfort could.

HappyHolidays everyone, be good to each other.

Now I’ll forever be terrified that whenever I require surgery, the surgeon will spend his off hours pretending to be a lady with bells hanging off her tits.

    LOL!!

    Well, who needs SELF-promotion, Florence?

Nicely written blurb. And it’s a pleasant change to see someone talking about their work in the community: this is rather the sort of thing I’ve been getting at when I’ve suggested that it would be good to see people with “accomplishments” posted here.

That’s all! Have a nice holiday, Florence. :)

I think you have a wonderful looking avatar and love the pictures (well done Timothy). You are clearly an intelligent person so i was surprised that you chose to mention those that may have left a negative comment about you before.
No response is surely better than inviting more anger and hatred. It will not matter how good you are in RL or SL as it seems that the hate is aimed at Timothy rather than the featured avatar and i think this has been the norm with every photographer.
Anyway happy Xmas to all even the haters.

That hair really wasn’t meant for a hat, headband, or garland. It’s just too wide. Why not wear hair that fits closer to the head if you want to put a hat or headband on? Stretching the headband or garland makes it look like it was designed to be worn by the Elephantman.

OMG, my name was mentioned in an Herald article. Does that mean I have acquired the fame that our little Timothy is thriving for so hard? Seriously, I’d be flattered if it meant anything to me.

And I’m more than surprised to see my name there cause I never said anything against your person or avatar but only criticized Timothy’s lousy screenshot taking skills. Hoping that he finally finds a full version of Photoshop and a ‘PS for Dummies’ book under the Christmas tree, I remain with the best wishes for a Merry Christmas

Intelligent and sexy…but enough about me.Florence I think you have it all and you seem to be so much in touch with reality and the the goodness that is inside many people like yourself. The pics are great…obviously you borrowed the garland from the head of one of the trash talking critics.Who cares?Remember one persons trash is another persons treasure..just toss the trash out and enjoy your treasures.Have a very Merry Christmas.

I find it ironic, that you mention self-promotion to someone else, isn’t that what you are doing? However, I am happy to see someone here that finally does make a difference in society and contributes to the less fortunate. As Syclla said, it is good to see someone with actual accomplishments. Keep up the good work and have a Merry Christmas. =)
